Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I was momentarily confused, before I remembered that this is not a ‘Meyer’ hardtop, but a ‘Meyers’ hardtop, the forerunner of the Sears hardtop line.
“I have for sale a Meyers steel 1/2 top for an early jeep/willys cj5. This top is complete and in good shape.
I had this listed in the past and dropped the price one last time. If t does not sell I will cut if up to fit my CJ3B. I have avoid this as it is too nice and hard to find in this condition.”
CJ-2A/3A body on a 3A? Frame (gussets are missing). It’s a mix of parts. It does have the early dual lever Watson hubs.

“Jeep Willys restored military 1940s M38 style. Taken completely apart, body parts repaired everything sandblasted primed and painted new cloth wiring harness blackout lights seats upholstered new tires brake lines hoses shoes drums turned. All mechanical parts inspected and parts replaced as needed. Tranny transfer case axles and so on. Runs good and street legal currently non-op great for parades shows Museum or just drive around town I can customize the bumper number for you if you have fathers or grandfathers unit number I can put it on for you.”
