About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“654EC210192 Starts, Runs, Drives Ford 292 V8 engine 3 Speed manual transmission Odometer is actual for chassis but not for the engine. Odometer reads — 58400 Fuel — gas Tire size — 30×9.50R15 4×4”
“Good old Jeep with a snow plow…runs and drives, brakes need bled, but still pump up. New carburetor, tires and fuel pump. Hard top, soft doors, spare rear sliding door and a set of spare windows for the hard top.”
“1957 Willy FC170 This one you don’t see often ,Wouldn’t take much to put back on the Road , has a 6 cylinder Hurricane Engine , 3 speed Transmission , will considered partly tardes, 12.500.00. OBO
Clean Title”
This might be a late 1948, or early 1949 CJ-2A, as it has the current CJ-2A ignition hole on the dash, but lacks frame horns (possibly they were removed). You’ll note in the video that the oil filter was moved to the fender using the stock mount, which seems to work pretty well.
“Up for sale a complete 4WD Willys Jeep without engine or title. Year unknown, but it is a 2A. Use it as parts or put an engine in it and drive it. Previous owner or owners put a 6-cylinder engine in it, fire wall is cut up. Great is you want to put a Chevy small block, now it has clearance for the distributor. Has all 4 original 16″ wheel, has the front seat frame (needs cousins). the 3 speed T90 and the Dana 18 transfer case is there. Like I said, complete less engine and title.
Perfect summer project, or a father son project. These Willys jeeps stopped production darn near 70 years ago. They don’t make them anymore, so maybe you should take this one home.”
UPDATE II: Am busy, so thought I’d rerun this video. All brackets finished for the eBrake and fuel pump. More wires wired. Solenoids purchased and ready to be installed with new wiring plan. Ann *should* be less busy this week, which will give me more time. Hard to believe we are at the half-way point for 2024!!!

UPDATE from Dec 12, 2020: According to Jordi, this Spanish language news film describes a jeep race in Belgium.
No helmets, no safety equipment … craziness! This video from Europe shows some gutsy folks running WWII jeeps hard through the mud. (if the video embed doesn’t work, go here).
Andy shared this unusual toy. I expect it is fairly rare, given I can only find one other that’s been auctioned. There is, however, a REPLICA box for one of these for sale on eBay (see pics at bottom).
“1952 AERO WILLYS 2 DOOR SEDAN
Green plastic with tin “clicker” chassis
Used, playwear, “chrome” loss to bumpers, tops of rear bumper overriders bent but appear complete.
I got it disassembled (Was wrapped with masking tape).
Needs to be cleaned & polished.
Last picture from original ad showing tape residue.
I cleaned off as much masking tape residue as I could.
No original body mounting pins, screws shown pushed in place.
Includes 4 new twist rivet, car takes 3 (may be a little short).
Car is sold AS-IS.”

Here’s an example of a REPLICA box that’s currently on eBay for $26.09.
This may well be an M-606. I wish there was a photo of the data tag or serial number. If this is truly an M-606 and its runs and drives as described, this is a good price.
“Very rare , all original older restoration. No rust and very straight body with little to no filler. Runs and drives great. New military style seat covers. Clean title in my name on PNO. No trades”
“This 1960 Willys Jeep FC-150 was acquired as a non-running project by the seller approximately 14 years ago and was subsequently fitted with a replacement 134ci Hurricane inline-four, three-speed manual transmission, and dual range transfer case. The interior was reupholstered and a CD stereo installed along with AutoMeter gauges, a replacement wiring harness, and a one-wire alternator. The truck is finished in green over green and gray vinyl, and additional equipment includes a Warn overdrive unit, 15″ steel wheels, a side-mounted spare, locking front hubs, dual side mirrors, and a pintle hitch. This Forward Control is now offered with refurbishment photos and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.”
“For sale: 1947 CJ2a. Here is everything I know about this Jeep. I bought it a year ago for hunting. I packed out deer and antelope with it, but the area where I hunt elk is a roadless area and vehicles are not allowed. I need something I can use to carry out an elk so I am selling the Jeep to buy a pack horse, otherwise I’d love to keep it. The guy I bought it from in Gillette, WY. bought it at auction, so I don’t have a lot of historical info or receipts. It runs like a top, started on the third try after storing it in a barn for 8 months. It clearly has a replacement metal body. Original type engine and running gear. I put brand new tires on it last fall and maybe have 500 miles on them. I put a new carburetor on last summer, new one works great. I just drove it for half An hour in and out of 4wd – terrific! As far as problems – it needs some electrical work – starts without a key, headlights work but taillights don’t. Oil, electrical and gas gauge works, temps, speedo/odometer don’t. There is no parking brake. It has original (weak) brakes. Paint has chipped off on hood and tailgate. Price: $6,000. I’d prefer to have you pick it up but I can deliver it if not too distant, or we can arrange delivery in some way. I am in Dubois, WY.”
“Full Custom 1950 Willys Jeepster. It just doesn’t get more unique or custom than this. Powered by a great running Chevy 350 with throttle body fuel injection spinning a 5-speed manual tranny. Sits on a Mustang II type suspension with disc brakes up front and drums in rear. Has a custom built interior, console, and a dash off a ‘40 Ford fitted with 3rd generation Firebird gauges and tilt steering. The hardtop is removable making it a slick little roadster to enjoy. It also has shaved door handles and the custom built tonneau cover for all your goodies.
Painted in a vibrant metallic blue with a bit of tasteful pin striping throughout. Deep old school rumble coming out the cherry bombs on each side. $26,500 seems like a very good deal for you from me. Let’s see what you think. You could not build this car for anything near that. I have gone thru the car nose to toes to make it safe and realizable. I have thousands of dollars of receipts that will go with the car. For the person that wants a very good and distinctive clean driver classic.”
TJ shared this unusual body with a unique dash. I can’t remember seeing this type of body. The transom appears extra wide, too, though that might be just an optical illusion. No description provided.
