Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. For the price it ought to have combat rims. The windshield has worn a spot on the cowl. Given the alternator, it seems to be 12 volt.

“For sale is a 1948 Willy’s CJ-2A. Engine runs but will need rebuild. Rebuilt generator and starter, exhaust, fuel and brake lines, master cylinder and gas tank. Jeep has been in New Mexico and Texas so no significant rustling of panels. A very original Jeep with very little modification. Title available however still under name of previous owner who passed away.”
This may be an M-38A1 body on a CJ-5 chassis.

(02/06/2018) Seller is feeling out the market, so not sure how serious.
“Just putting this out there. I don’t want to sell it for sure. 1953 Willys CJ-3B. The “ugly duckling” of CJ jeeps. Engine, transmission, frame, etc. all original. Original body minus the areas I patched for rust. Patches came from another 3B loaner body. Body and paint in good shape for saying I’m not a professional car guy. Engine has been rebuilt and bored .030 to fix a cracked block. One piston was sleeved. Too much to say about this rig. It’ll take you anywhere you want to go, as long as you’re not in a hurry.”
