About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“1954 USMC M170 Willys ..runs, drives, stops. You may have seen it running around Hibbing or Side Lake in the last few yrs.
Please do some research online …USMC M170 1954. About 3300 built from 54 to 64, few for the Marine Corps. Find specs like 55mph and 15mpg, unlike it’s predecessors.
It is mechanically a M38A1; for the most part, so parts are inexpensive and easily found online or even out of the TwinCities supply co.
I sanded areas looking for “ambulance” markings and found none. I media-blasted it so as to see real condition …unbelievable that something this old can be this rust-free/straight. One of the reasons I attribute to the “undercoating” the Marine Corps used, that makes current high-dollar bed-liners look weak. I sprayed a couple coats of “green” to keep the condition. It is not “restored”, it’s in honest condition w/nothing hiding. Continue reading →
(07/05/2016) “47 Willys Jeep with Plymouth 318, Warn OD, rebuilt both drive lines, good tires – runs great. I have a lot more info on the various parts that make up this vehicle and will provide via email if interested. I’ve owned this Jeep since 1986 but just don’t use it anymore. It needs to go to the right person that wants to give it a new paint job, and drop the transmission and transfer case to replace a leaky gasket – and get it back into the dunes or other trails. This Jeep has a lot of power and needs to be driven by someone with plenty of off-road experience. It’s not insured, so I’ll test drive it.
“Stock Forward Control. Engine and drive train works well. 4 cylinder 81 inch wheel base narrow track 48 inch width. Has factory counter weight install. Fresh paint, looks great. Gauges do not work. Mileage undetermined. The best survivor I have seen.”l
We are still hoping to find a Jeepster owner to participate in the Alaska or Rust adventure. Email me (d@ewillys.com) if you know someone that would like to go!

Gayland spotted this former government vehicle. It could use some loving. It has several neat data plates.
“1966 JEEP CJ-5 For Sale. For $1500.00. Engine is unassembled and in rear of JEEP. JEEP was built for the Government. Has a warranty sticker on dash from Kaiser Jeep to the Government. Has a Government Data Plate on the dash. It is equipped with a 540 PTO on rear. The previous owner said that the person that he bought it from said it was used to mow grass at a park. The paint has a nice even patina and would look good preserved as is. More pictures added. The rust near the Department of Agriculture decal is the worse spot on the out side of the body. If you were going to restore a 1960s Jeep this would be a rare and interesting one to restore. I have added a picture of the Kaiser JEEP Corporation’s Special Sales Order Plate.
Price reduce to $1250.00 before it goes into the woods for another 10 years.”
