Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It really belongs in a collection or in a fire department as a parade truck. It’s beautiful. It runs amazing and always starts. I suspect this is an aftermarket CJ body atop a military chassis. The body has civilian aspects, but the rear cargo area has the boxes necessary to allow the vertical shocks seen on MBs and GPWs.

“Done up as a “army prop”. Has a military hood but it is a Civillian Jeep. Clean Tennesee Title 4cyl Motor is unknown. Frame has rust on front crossmember near steering linkage. Transmission doesn’t seem to shift at all. Trans crossmember is out of it. This is a TOTAL PROJECT that does not run, stop or steer. Don’t ask dumb questions. That’s why it’s priced so low. All four tires hold air and it will roll in a straight line. I can help you pull it up onto a trailer. Would be great for a mini golf course prop or yard art. Make a rat rod, fully restore it, let it sit in your yard, use it in a low budget movie, it can be yours for $1500 cash”
