“For Sale: Willys CJ3A open jeep. No title. No data plate. No known history on this jeep.
This jeep is a rolling chassis, complete, less motor, transmission and transfer case. I do have the driveshafts, and the suspension and axles are complete. Wheels are 15’s.
The Jeep body Tub is extremely rough, borderline for parts–repaired and re-repaired over 70 years of hard hunting and ranch life. The frame is solid, definitely restorable. Tub has had the tailgate and tailgate hinges removed and a piece of steel was welded in place of the tailgate. Front clip is clean. I do have a stamped grill with headlight buckets for it. This Jeep is equipped with Warn lock-out hubs on the front axle that function perfectly. The rear axle retainer caps are missing some of the retaining bolts.
First $860 for the entire jeep takes it. All four 15 inch wheels hold air and will roll right up on to your trailer–I have a tractor and can push it up for you. This is a long way from drive-able, but a very good starter.
CASH ONLY. I can deliver for gas and mileage, but will only do so after the jeep has been paid for in full in person.

“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A Military Restoration
1947 painted to resemble an old military version. It was a little more complicated and expensive than I thought but it will last a long time now and be alot of fun for the kids for years to come.
I replaced the brakes from the master cylinder, lines to brake cylinders and replaced the pads and two drums, plus the emergency brake. New shocks, tires (original WWII bi-directional), a new bell housing, clutch plate, new radiator, hoses, belts and seats. We degreased the thing 3 times before I had it sand blasted and painted. Restored in 2001 and pretty much garage parked since. Engine is original and in pretty good shape. Still has the original bucket body with bullet holes ! (Well, painted rust holes)
It has been covered up over the winter. But it ran fine last summer. Let me know if you want to see it, I will uncover it for you. I am not getting auto insurance for it this summer. So you wont be test driving it except on my driveway. I do have a current video of it running so you can hear the engine

“For Sale: 1942-1944 Ford Open Jeep. Clear Texas Blue Title. This is a Jeep that was probably assembled out of many different Jeeps at some point. The frame is MB, M2 mount is in the frame, tub floor shows it, front square cross-member confirms it is a Ford.
The Jeep has a Ford GPW body, shown by the embossings in the tool compartment lids. The windshield frame and front grill are CJ2A/3A stamped “Willys.” The right front fender is Ford GPW.
The L134 Flat head Willys “Go Devil” motor is correct vintage for the jeep, 1944-1951. Continue reading

On Thursday evening I spent time moving parts from Patterson’s stock, but tired, DJ-3A engine to Rusty’s rebuilt M-38 engine so I could install it in Patterson. One item that caught my attention was Patterson’s DJ gas pedal linkage versus Rusty’s. Patterson’s appeared stock, while Rusty’s had a modified pivot point, probably the result of using the M-38 block. I decided to keep Patterson’s as it was and recreate the part for Rusty’s engine.
DJ-3A gas pedal Linkage: The linkage goes through the firewall to a pivot point on the driver’s side. When the gas pedal is depressed, a rod pushes an angle piece around a pivot, forcing a second rod upwards to a YF 2392S carb, causing the gas flow to increase.
Patterson’s real pivot piece (and it seems I misspelled carburetor in my pic).
This shows the piece after removing the parts. The pivot bolt is solid on the end with a hole for a cotter pin.
Example of what I removed from Rusty (bottom) and the bolt I will use to make a new one (top with new threads extended up it so I can add a bolt). The biggest problem with the custom piece at bottom is that it had no cotter pin. It was only held on by a bolt, which could have easily have come unscrewed as the gas pedal pivot piece moved back and forth.

Disc brakes on all 4 wheels. 700R4 Monster Transmission. New Crate 350 engine, 4 Barrel Edelbrock Carb, Hei distributor, New Alternator, New Wiring Harness, Aluminum Radiator, Lokar Shifter, New aftermarket Gauge cluster, Old style Mag wheels. All new glass and rubber channels. New Gas Tank. New Brake Booster.”

“It’s pretty much all original, 225 Buick V-6, 3 speed manual trans, 4×4. It just had a tune-up with a new HEI ignition and new 2 barrel auto choke Holly carburetor.
I’ve only owned it for a few months, I originally bought it to build a Crawler but soon realized it would be a shame to cut up a clean survivor like this.
It was repainted by the previous owner, it’s not perfect but there is zero rust and it has lots of character.
It also comes with a metal top. $6500 OBO.”

“We have a 1947 Willy jeep cj2a civilian model. Has the original L134 flat head kaiser 4 cylinder and 3 speed manual transmission. It’s converted to 12 volt. Has new poly fuel tank and all new fuel system. Fresh carb, 9k winch, custom seat mounts with newer seats and seat belts, fiber glass hood, 2 heaters, 31″ tires, rough country shocks and it will come with original seats and horn. It’s been painted a very nice cherry red and has diamond plate all around it. We are interested in trading or selling it. Would consider trades for a nice camper trailer, diesel truck, corvette, chevelle, nova, charger, challenger, road runner galaxy or other older muscle cars. Open to offers”

If the tag is correct, this is a former Los Alamos Jeep.
“All stock and fully restored “High Hood” Willys with 134 cu in (2.2 L) Hurricane I4 motor. Runs perfect and very reliable. Jeep was purchased from Los Alamos National Laboratory motor pool in New Mexico. No rust! Recently installed new parts include tires, shocks, leaf springs, knuckle bearings, front break drums, wheel bearings, battery, and fuel pump.
Title is clean plus plates and tags on it. Great jeep for cruising through town, country roads, or off-road fun.
Hate to sell, but need space in garage.”
