About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Daily driver. Has a six cylinder engine. Good tires. It’s been a fun project vehicle. Running condition. Being sold as is. Cash only no trades. I will consider reasonable offers.”
This is worth a look. It includes a Koenig hardtop and a PTO winch. It has a few updates, including a heavy duty rear bumper and a steering wheel that I don’t recognize.
“very solid Kaiser built CJ-5 restoration project, V-6 Dauntless (Buick) engine in running condition, working snowplow, excellent tires, transmission and clutch in working order, new fuel pump and filter, I flushed the fuel tank and lines which are very clean and rust free, recent oil change, other than surface rust there is no rust rot on the vehicle, floor is solid,
it runs and drives, doesn’t smoke, there is a title but it was signed in the wrong places by the previous owner and DMV wants a new title which requires submitting the existing title and a certified vin verification but CSP will not issue a vin verification unless the vehicle is roadworthy meaning all the lights, horn and wipers work, or you could just bond for a new title…
it also needs a battery, the emission air pump is seized and disconnected, the manual choke cable is stuck and needs replaced or lubed, drivers door latch needs a little work, there are some seeping seals and gaskets but the drivetrain seems in solid condition, some play in the steering, brakes work but could use attention, it was purchased new in Steamboat Springs, lifelong Colorado vehicle and sat in a field for a few years when the fuel pump went out, the odometer reads 05336, so I assume it’s rolled over, a great candidate for restoring though it wouldn’t take much to get it basic working condition and plow your drive. Email questions and contact info”
There’s still some work to be done, but this seems to have potential. Thanks to Andy for sharing it.
“`55 Willys pickup. body and interior mostly finished, Hurricane 226 engine run well but now after sitting a year a couple of valves stuck (remove subject cyl plug and gently tap down as it is turned over). Working plow frame and hydraulics. new gear reduction starter with maybe loose connections or just bad starter.New fuel tank. Decent tires. Bed deck needs replacing, have done nothing to frame and running gear or brakes due to heart problems. new windshields, new seats, lots of rotted body metal replaced. has to be finished but should not take a lot of either time or money. Have more time and money in it than asking price…be nice.”
“1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A. Has half cab installed with seat belts. Early model dauntless v6 engine that runs good, stock 1947 transmission/transfer case/axles. Has PTO and PTO driven winch on front. I got rid of the old wiring and have a 12 circuit harness that I started to install that has a new headlight swtch, turn signal switch, new wiper switch, and a new ignition switch. The lights are 12 volt. I also have a relay panel and switch panel for it. The wiring is routed, but not completed. Due to double knee replacements, I am unable to crawl around the Jeep like I used to. This is a really solid Willys Jeep that would make a great hunting rig or trail rider. I did drive it on the street but 30mph is as fast as these jeeps will go. I am asking $5000 or trade for square body suburban 4×4. ”
