Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Charles spotted this Surrey-like jeep. It looks to me like an early, basic DJ-3A to which someone added some surrey trimmings. No price or description provided, other than the seller describes it as a “1953”, which would be three years before the first DJ was introduced. Still, it looks like a fun rig to drive around town. It’s for sale the weekend of May 12-14.

(04/07/2017) Looks like it could be an MB Body and front clip, except for the grille. The rear shocks have been mounted angled to the rear rather than brought forward like a 2A.
“Restored Willys Jeep. Clean title, currently registered. I have owned it for 30 years. Kept in the garage and recently restored it. Ready to drive away. Lots of new parts through out: tires, brakes, master cylinder, fuel system – fuel tank, lines, pump, filter, rebuilt carb.
