Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (05/13/2016) It’s got some mods.
“1953 Willys CJ3B. Includes Chassis, Tub, Fenders, Grille, Hood, Windshield frame, seat frames, fuel tank (pretty good condition, very solid but will need some body work and new shackles and mounts in the front. The axles are set up for SOA. It appears the rear axle is a DANA 44 and the front axle is a DANA 30. (Pink in hand and on non-op) asking $900.
Jeep is pre-smog and you can install any drive train you want and never need to smog it. I have a F134 four cylinder motor and some rebuildable transmissions and transfer cases that can be purchased for a reasonable cost if the buyer is interested in having an original type drive train.”

(10/12/2015) Refurbed, but not restored.
“Vintage and rare 1948 Willys CJ-2a Jeep. Restored with all OEM parts. Motor is original with about 20,000 miles. All new gaskets, electrical runs, seals, seats, gas tank/float, etc. Brand new transmission with about 100 miles. Added stinger hitch receiver for carrying mountain bikes (or whatever). Purrs like a kitten with a top speed of about 43mph. Wish we had room to keep her. ”
