About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Not to scale, but still might make someone a fun project. Thanks to Roy for spotting this one.
“I have an unusual project for you!
hand built or homemade mini jeep body….
this is all steel and is 36″ wide by 68″ long
great start to a custom build, put this on a lawn tractor or use atv components for a true 4wd build.
Imagine the time this took to build, unknown history, possibly from lakeside or elitchs???”

“For Sale 1968 Jeep Jeepster Willys Commando freshly restored, super clean inside and out. This Jeep has the CJ5 front clip conversion, which gives it more of the traditional Jeep look. It has the 3.8 liter 225 cubic inch V6 and manual transmission, runs and drives well. It has high back Jeep wrangler seats, front seats have sliders, front passenger folds forward, rear seats folds down and folds forward. It has new 16″ Ion wheels, matte black and machined finish and 305-70-16 (33×12.50-16) Toyo MT tires which are about 50% or better tread.
The radio does not work, and there is a tow bar installed on the front bumper. We do have and are not including a top with the Jeep, we don’t have one, it has always been stored in our garage. The next owner can modify as they choose, add a roll cage and a soft top, or find and install a factory hard top. This Jeep has much more room than a CJ5, and would make a great beach cruiser, dune rider, or just to have up your cabin for hunting and fishing. Clear AZ title signed and notarized, located in Buckeye, AZ 85326. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, we may be able to assist in locating a carrier or possibly deliver for an additional fee.”
“Selling my 1946 Willys CJ2A. Definitely not the prettiest cj you’ve seen, but she’s a beast! Runs and drives. 4 cylinder, flat head Motor has been rebuilt at some point, but i’m not able to verify how long ago. Fresh oil and coolant.
Converted to 12 volts. Rear offset dana 44. Also has rear seat included
New battery. I’ll be replacing the Regulator and Ignition tomorrow. I’ll also be rebuilding the carb as well, because it has a hard time idling.
I also have 4 extra original CJ2 wheels (15×6), as well as 2 spare tire mounts. I will also include a tow bar.
Transmission shifts good. No grinding or popping out. 4×4 works.
Obviously, this jeep needs some body work, as you can see in the pics. Some cancer spots, and places where bondo is chipping off from an old restoration. But this jeep is VERY restorable, and will be worth plenty of money after body work and some tlc.
Title in hand. have the license plate for it as well.
$2700 or best REASONABLE OFFER. no trades. Cash speaks.
Call or text the number in the reply section.”
Unusual rear bumper. Are those rings hold it to the jeep?
“Civilian model, original 134L, 4 cylinder, 4 Wheel drive, 3 speed, high/low range, 12 volt conversion. Runs and drives great, lots of extras…hard top and doors, rear seat, and tow bar with lights. she has 5:13 gears so 45 mph is the top speed, but it will climb a wall! Lots of fun with the windshield down!!!”
“This listing is for 2 Willy’s Jeeps. I know very little about these, I’ll do the best I can to field any questions.
We do not have titles for these vehicles. We are selling these as parts only and have no way to acquire a title. They were donated to our charity. We will of course provide a bill of sale. We had a mechanic do a once over on the one with the body off to the side and he said that it had good compression in 3 cylinders and low in the 4th cylinder. We also installed a new starter.
The oil looks great and was recently changed.
The seller lists this project at $4000, but notes he didn’t know how to price it. Obviously that’s a bit high, so he encourages offers.
“It is time to SAS my 4runner so I need to sell one project to fund the other project.
1946 Willys cj2a with clean California title in my name. It is current and is in non-op
It is essentially in stock form with the exception of a chevy 265 V8.
I had big plans and still do but no money to have all the toys.
I have a ton of parts.
