About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1950 Willys Jeep Wagon, 2 w/d, no engine or transmission, was being set up for Chevrolet small block. Original California black and yellow plates, non -operational current title in hand. Lots of extra parts. Restore or make into custom rat rod. Roof and floors, tailgate solid and straight. Glass good. Minor rust in typical areas. No trades or parts sales. Serious inquiries only. ”
“Jeep CJ3B 1953. Runs like a top. Body off restoration 1000 miles ago. Great WWII era civilian utility vehicle painted to look like the military version. First year of new Willys F-head “Hurricane” engine…producing 75 hp. 36% more than the 55 hp produced by the previous flat head “Go Devil” Willys Jeep engine. Everything works like new”
“for sale is a 1950 CJ3A. It has a ford 260 v8 in it instead of the original go devil engine. The v8 needs to be rebuilt and so does the transmission (original T-90). the transfer case is in fine condition. It has a bench seat in it. there is no speedometer, in addition the only gauge that works is the oil pressure gauge. There are two bad rust holes in the bed and on the driver’s side floor. I put new front brake shoes, wheel cylinders and front shocks.$2900 firm. text only please. tags are up to date and registered until december”
“1946 cj2a project with extra frame and axles. This is an original cj2a with a 225ci Buick dauntless v6 motor installed. Novak trans adapter. Drive shafts need to be lengthened to accommodate lift. Suspension is from a cj7. The body is NOT installed on frame. It needs to be completed. There are also parts from a 1970 V6 jeepster included. $1900 for all. Title from jeepster included and transferable.”
“I have a 1949 Willy’s that has a strong running V8, power steering, and power brakes! It is hard to find a 49 Willy’s in this good of condition, it has little to no rust, and is a great off-road jeep. This is a must see for the collector or just the ordinary jeep enthusiast!”
“I have for sale a 1942 Ford GPW WWII Jeep. The body is extremely rusted. It has an engine that is a later flathead willys engine that runs, no brakes. It has a cj2a steering sector. This is a list of Ford F marked parts: grill, left fender, right fender, radiator, hood hinge, t84 transmission, transfer case, headlight buckets, headlight swing arms, blackout grill lights, bell crank, GPW Glove box data tags, and tool box lids. The data plate, frame and clear title in my name have the same serial numbers. The front and rear axles are GP marked. The wheels are civilian willys. I put a gasket on the thermostat housing and it is seeping. The engine has 641087 –l-w10-a n1-cr-n2 on the block. Serial number on engine is 35234; this is all I could make out. The engine manifold has an ear broken off of it at the carb. Looks like a dj3a manifold. The head has 16h5 on it. The starter is an Autolite number mz 4163 3f and the generator is an Autolite number GDZ 6001E 3F. I am asking $2500 for it.”
