About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Bob took some photos of this beautiful GP the weekend.
“Saw this nice ford gp at the ragersville, Ohio car and power show today. Guy has owned it for 30 years. It came out of Colorado. Still has the right engine and drivetrain. Nicely restored by the owner.”
This looks to be a solid M-38 with a replacement body.
“1951 Willys Jeep in excellent condition. Several year restoration–in storage since completion with very little use. Comes with soft top and extra set of tires. Ford V-8 302 powered, stick shift. No rust. Original except for engine. Needs minor TLC. The hydraulic brakes and clutch need bleeding.”
“One of the biggest attention getters you will find,….custom built frame, all heavy wall.Rear susp. adj. coilover w/ adj. 4 link.,drum brakes on a GM 6 lug 10 bolt w3;73 ratio…..Front; beam axle, disc. w/ friction shocks & multi-leaf stack.Drives very straight, doesn’t ride bad either! This engine stumps most everyone( except ex military)It is truly unique as engine and 5 speed trans.is a donor from a 2.5 ton personel carrier..,motor is bullit proof_literally_is designed to run on as little as 1 quart of coolant, and start in any weather condition,Being it is a Hercules Ind. military engine it will run on anything petro based…kero,,fuel oil, drain oil veg. oil,and it likes it!!
‘1954 Willys 4×4 wagon Inline “hurricane” 6 cylinder engine 3 speed transmission, recently added overdrive, Truck has typical rust rot (floors, quarters, etc) I was going to turn this into a beach buggy, but don’t have the heart. great candidate for restoration. Price will go up as I make repairs/restoration. Truck gets tons of looks wherever it goes. Open to interesting trades.”
(01/14/2014) It’s listed as a ’48, but has a serial number of 12275. It has the early windshield, data plates, and rear hubs. Looks solid.
“This 1948 Willys Jeep CJ-2Awas a frame off restoration with all new sheet metal. The seats have been re-upholstered. It is a 4 wheel drive, 3 speed, 4 cylinder. Originally has 73,855 miles on old speedometer, but a new speedometer was installed and set at 0. The electrical system has been changed over to a 12 volt system. Original engine runs great!! Starts every time. This vehicle would be great fun to drive!!!”
“HERE I GOT A VERY COOL, VERY RARE ALL ORIGINAL , NOT CUT UP 1963 KAISER MADE JEEP CJ6 SUPER LOW MILES AT 31K.., THESE ARE MORE OR LESS A CJ5 THAT WAS SPECIALLY BUILT WITH A 20 INCH LONGER WHEELBASE FROM DRIVERS SEAT BACK. THEY WERE MOSTLY SOLD TO SWEDEN AND SOUTH AFRICA. NOT MANY IN US AND THEY ONLY MADE 50,000 OR SO TOTAL OVER 20 YEARS PLUS SO IMAGINE HOW MANY ARE LEFT, ESPECIALLY WITH CLEAR TITLE AND RARE TOP AND SNOW PLOW… LITTLE TID BIT FROM OF HISTORY HERE..AND BY THE YEARS IT WAS ONLY AROUND 2,000 UNITS A MODEL YEAR .
“1975 Jeep CJ-6: 6 Cylinder, 4WD and Granny Drive, Metal Top, Metal Doors and Half Doors, Roll Bar, Free Standing Top Lifts, Plow, Tire Chains, New Battery”
“This is a 1953 JP 3J (CJ3A) body on a 1972 CJ-5 chassis and running gear. It has a Buick V-6 (odd fire) I believe it’s a 225 ci. Mid 60’s engine. The body is straight and the pan has been replaced. This is a solid Little Willy’s that runs and drives great. Rear axel bearings need to be replaced. I have a complete set of Seals and bearing that go with the sale. It also comes with a Road-master Explorer folding tow bar. 10/32-16LT Super Swampers on steel wheels. Lots of tread left, 80-90% roughly. No Trades, cash only please.”
“Nice old army jeep with wench, top, new seat covers, and rebuilt engine. Has been sitting for a few years but only has a few hundred miles on rebuilt engine. Great for hunters or farm use. Pictures show a spraying system on front which has since been removed. Has been stored in a barn out of the weather.”
