“Have a 51 cj jeep with all the original matching tags (body and frame) for sale. $1500.00 O.B.O.
IT is in some parts right now, being I was going to restoring this one but dont have the time being I picked up three older WWII jeep projects to do first, Motor and trany is pulled but goes with this deal There is no body that goes with this deal ( I used it) just every thing else I have for it goes with it. Frame is in great shape, motor and trans did work, but has been sitting takinp room now (inside) for four years . Perfect project, just will need a body and your ready to go at it
I have no paper title, found it in a farm field and bought it that way, but with the correct tags that go with this jeep, there should be no problem getting one for it. I have done this with other autos
Email me with any questions.
Think about it. $1500. and pick up (or if you have) a jeep body (metal or fiberglass) and you to can own a classic cj jeep”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3900.
It needs some work.

“I have a 1945 Willy’s with a rust free frame for sale. New tires, rims, shocks, carburetor, fuel pump, tie rod ends. Needs brake work and axle seals and windshield. No time. Love to see this jeep get more attention then I can give it. Flathead 4 Hurricane was rebuilt. Not many miles since. But it was rebuilt about 35 years ago. Body was also done with heavy guage steel.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000
(08/11/2015) It appears solid. The drain holes have been covered.
“I have a 1948 willys jeep that I drive daily. It is as original as you can get. Great running condition. 5,000 pound Ramsey PTO winch mounted on the front. Soft top that is about 3 years old that is easily installed during cold months. Has original 4 cylinder motor.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3000.
It’s listed as a 1950.
:Up for sale is a 1950’s Willys CJ3A – it’s had an interesting life I’d imagine….pulled it off a farm in Colorado, cleaned her up and got life back into this cool 1950’s Willys.
Interesting factoids about this Willys:
-clean Colorado title
-high back seats from modern car / truck – original gas tank was removed and replaced with remote tank (poly) in tailgate area – bracing for new seat prohibits proper fitment for original tank.
-AMC 195.6 Engine – straight 6 cylinder engine that runs good
-Ramsey winch (DCB200) on heavy duty front bumper – untested
-diamond plated dash (original dash is underneath)
-only gauges to speak of are oil pressure, temp, and amps. NO speedo, no fuels gauge.
-no chips or cracks in windshield
-no wipers or blinkers
-carb (Holley single barrel) was resealed and runs but could use additional tuning.
-12 volt conversion done
-Oil changed, radiator flushed and refilled
-brakes fluids bled but could use additional work / service
-50 caliber ammo can and gas can added for flavor
-good stout roll bar – NO tops, bikini or doors included
-been repainted several times and probably will get at least one more coat of paint in its lifetime. That said it does have a cool blue patina to it.
-rust? yes some here and there..signs of repair at fenders
-all tires hold air but they are on the older side for sure.
-parking lights work but headlights and brake lights do NOT.
One cool Willys. Know that this is a 50+ year old vehicle that has had a very basic “once over”. If you are looking for a highway commuter, this is not your car. If you want a fun weekender, trail master (some day) and can turn a wrench this is a great candidate….
Comes as seen with no additional parts… I guess I forgot to add that I DONT need help selling, I probably won’t sell it to a Saudi Prince or a friend of a friend who wants to make 25.00 per month payments in pennies.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
Unclear how much value is here.
“1948-1952 Jeep Willys
No title – Parts only”
I found this interesting article from the St. Petersburg Times in 1994. Island Cruisers was a Clearwater, Florida, company that refurbished old right-hand drive postal jeeps for export to island countries where people drive on the right hand side.
Jan and Robin Stach started the company. By the time this article was written, the company had sold 35 jeeps to the Bahamas, Grenada, Aruba, the Cayman Islands and Cancun. They were generally used for rentals. The company had another 30 jeeps in process. The Stachs feel that demand was huge and they hoped to mature into a company capable of producing 500 jeeps a month.
Unfortunately, I didn’t find any additional information on how successful (or not) or for how long the company operated.
Note: Another company started about the same time on the west coast called Safari-Kars
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
Looks nice.
