This May 1957 Willys News article provides some interesting history about the Warn Manufacturing Company. Apparently there was some early resistance to using the first generation of the warn hubs, because jeep owners felt they’d purchased their jeeps for the four wheel drive capability. The initial hubs turned the jeeps into two wheel drive, which some owners felt defeated the whole point of owning a jeep. However, through education and marketing, the Warn folks slowly turned naysayers into advocates.

Body and bumper aren’t perfect, but good enough at this price. Note the vintage cutlass front hubs.

“1957 Willys Jeep CJ3B Civilian Jeep.
Full frame off restoration 7 years ago and there is still zero rust in any of the body panels. The floorboards are 100% solid and intact. Very rare to find in this kind of condition! Only 340 miles since all work was completed. Must more invested than asking price!
72HP original 4 cylinder engine
All gears work and all driveline components have been rebuilt.
New military implement tires on original wheels.
Have rear seat, auxiliary fuel tank, trailer hitch and many spare parts.
Great for military vehicle collection, parade use or just for fun! Unique find in this condition. No expense was spared to ensure originality and completeness. You will not find this type vehicle in as nice of condition anywhere!
