Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a rare, 1958 FC150 narrow track. It is in very good condition, being 95% complete and original. Odometer reading indicates just under 8K original miles. Body is solid with a few minor dents. F-head engine had the head removed and replaced by previous owner, with reassembly about 80% complete, and as such it is not running. This is a great vehicle for someone looking to do an original restoration since the vehicle is so complete.”

“For sale the ultimate early CJ5, CJ6, CJ2, commando and CJ3B combo an upgraded t90 transmission with a twin stick dana/ spicer transfer case, with a warn overdrive and a Ramsey pto . Also included are the parts to remove the pto. This is a great setup and was fully functional when removed. The guy I bought it from was doing a diesel swap in his cj6 and couldn’t use this setup. I was going to use the transfer case and overdrive in my cj5 but it turns out the t14 trans I have has a different spline count so I can’t use it. Looking to get 1000 obo or trade for a warn overdrive for a t14/ dana 18 or let me know what you have. This is a good price as the warn overdrive alone is new over a 1000 and 700+- used”

Motor runs, but rig still needs work.
“1962 Jeep Fleetvan
Original motor that runs. I also have a spare motor that I bought just to have for parts if I ever needed them. This was a project that I just don’t have time for anymore. I was converting it into a mobile snow cone truck. It is not 100% completed. The air ride on the front will need to me completed. I have 35×12.50×20 mud tires on it with 20×9 Moto Metal wheels. They have no miles on them. If you would like more pictures or would like more information on it please call me.”

Just one post this morning. Ann was sitting in bed relaxing yesterday afternoon when she positioned her knee just right … or just wrong would be more accurate. It caused her knee cap to shift sideways. It happens once a year or so. She had to take a muscle relaxer to deal with the pain, so I spent last night taking care of her.
On the plus side, Marty Tilford and other racers from the Pacific Northwest Four Wheel Drive Association had a good time at the Tacoma Dome this past weekend competing in a series of barrel races. They lined up all their jeeps and took a photo for us. Yep, I am sure it was just for us!
Most of these are WWII pics, though there is a Tour De France (or similar bike race) photo in the mix.
John Escobar bought a few FCs last month. He recently acquired a few more through a trade. He writes, “I got the Bug! Just traded a Snowmobile I had for three fc’s and flatfender jeep ! he collection goes on! The one fc 170 is real nice and originally from Washington State. Was used n the area as a water truck. (government owned ) Parts will be for sale this spring. Can’t wait to get started on them. Spring can’t come fast enough!”
3 FCs and a truck for this snowmobile. Looks like a good trade to me!
