This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Nashville Willys Dealer Neely B. Coble launched a demonstration series to show just what jeeps were capable of doing. This June 1955 article highlights his effort.
Dave shared this photo of a jeep-grille table he spotted at a lighting store in Minneapolis. As you can see in the photo, the table is built from pipe. He notes it is about 12″ wide and priced at $999. The table is designed to go along a wall or behind a sofa. The Harley tank takes up most of the width. The black piece behind the table is not part of it.

The dash has no glovebox.
“This is 1944 Jeep from World War II made by Ford. It has the original T84 transmission, transfer case, steering, radiator and axles. Windshield inner and outer frame is present. it’s a project that needs restoration. Transmission case was taken down and inspected but is usable and needs a rebuild. Seats are not original to the jeep. Front frame horns will need repair. Have an extra tub for parts. This jeep looks good in pictures but lots of bondo was used by someone. Lots of small misc parts will go with this to include canvas for seats, repro bumper, repro hat channels, fuel tank sump, and many small misc parts. Frame serial number confirmed is 198348. Data plates are missing. This vehicle has a title. This was a parts jeep that is why so many items are missing. No original wheels, engine, gauges seats or underhood items are left. I’m open to reasonable offers. If this add is up then its available.”

“1959 jeep CJ6 very rare all original runs pretty good but not road worthy it has been sitting for a while. it has back fees it was last registered in 2002 I’m not sure how much they are. I have a bill of sale. it is a project 1300 or possible trade for suv must be 4×4 or sport quad 400 or bigger.”
