About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“54 Willys panel? sedan delivery?. Has a newer jeep wagoneer engine trans t-case and axles in it runs and drives power steering and brakes, electric wiper change over and other mods. I has all new brakes in it. The engine is a amc 360 with headers and dress up kit. Trans is a turbo 400. T-case is a dana 18 or 20 not sure with 2 or 4 wheel drive. This is a fun to drive ratrod that gets a lot of attention it is not a show vehicle and has rust but hey its M.N. and everything does. Just like every other affordable old vehicle it needs some tlc but is drivable as-is. Don’t miss your chance for affordable fun.”
(08/15/2014) This might be a good price. The body is a replacement, fiberglass, or possibly a DJ body (given the short windshield).
“This is a nice jeep I did a lot of the restoration my self. I put a vortec Chevy 350 new wiring new lights all new gages new dash new driveline new wheel cylinders new motor mounts new roll bar new seats new paint. I was planning on changing the Gears to some taller ones it is low geared right now. I’m leavening them as is if someone would like to change them. I can accommodate them . runs excellent $3500 call”
(06/24/2014) Lots of work done on the Chassis. Note that the front of this body has been lifted, probably to fit the engine underneath.
“This is titled in Oregon as a 1949 CJ-3A Willys. It does have split windshield which I believe is from a 2A Williys. It has been under work for the last 4 years and is mostly finished. I have too many other projects and so I am going to sell it so someone else who can enjoy it more than I will be able to. The jeep has been taken down to the frame. It has a brand new rebuilt V6 engine. I have gone through the transmission but it does pop out of 2nd on occasion.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500. The seller says this jeep has a Cooper top, but it looks just like a Muller Top to me. Maybe they are one-in-the-same?
““Ole Yeller” is up for sale or trade. Sporty, fun and dependable head turner. Comes complete with all snap on soft sides and windows and has original Black plates. It has a 48 Willys body, 69 Ford Windsor 302 motor with J-series cast iron heads, Keith Black pistons, Edelbrock cam, intake and timing chain, FMC carb, 69 C4 3 speed auto trans with stage 2 shift kit and B&M 2000 stall converter, Dana 25 front axle, Dana 44 rear axle with 427 gears, Spicer model 30 transfer case, SoCal gauges, Tilt steering wheel, electric parking brake, new hi performance battery, CD player, ceramic coated headers, like new tires. Only 6000 miles on it since build. Paint is not perfect and the Cooper top has a small repair patch in it, other than that it’s a fantastic little Jeep. I want $12,500.00 or trade for a custom vehicle of equal value. Please no texting or low ballers. Read the list of components and add them up, this is a good deal.”

“Handmade
This unique ww2 jeep brooch is handmade in ww2 by hiders (refugees from the Nazi) in The Netherlands.
The production took place in secret in a factory in De Meern, a small Dutch place. The same factory where the first laundry pegs with an iron spring were produced. The owners operated in the resistance working together with The Allied Forces.
Production history
Many hiders worked in this factory. An underground was available, where they could hide in case of danger and where the brooches were stored. All metal pieces of the jeep brooch were made at the metal department. The owner’s mother transported these pieces in secret to hiders in the environment. They soldered the pieces together for a small amount of money.
These hiders had little to do, due to their circumstances. ‘Putting the jeeps together’ was a useful spending of time while waiting for their liberation by the Allied Forces.
The brooches got lightly silver or gold plated afterwards but it is not known where this was done. It was the hiders’ goal to sell these jeep brooches during the liberation days for a combination of remembering, celebration and rebuilding purposes.
They did not sell them all
It happened that they did not sell them all. Family of the factory owner recently discovered some of these brooches. I wish you a happy wearing.
And please think of the hiders, the veterans, the Allied Forces and your freedom now and than. In this way the brooch gets a good destination. And the hiders realize their goal at last, despite some delay…”
