About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This runs and drives. there appears to be some rust on the passenger side.

I thought the fenders on this were interesting. Were there aftermarket fenders like this made?
“1953 Jeep…..Willys Model MD…..Willys Overland Motors, Toledo Ohio…..
Let me begin by saying that this jeep hasn’t been started in 6 or 7 years… When it was parked where it now sits, it was running… How well it was running I don’t really know… It was a family vehicle, that was driven by various people and owned by my late uncle… It was parked in the garage one day, and basically forgotten, and there it sits, lost in time…
So…Please bear in mind, it is not running… The battery is dead, and there appears to be some old fuel still in the tank…
It seems to be complete, albeit kinda beat up…I was told it looked like an M-38 A1 military jeep, but the designation tags that are riveted to the dashboard state it to be a Willys Model MD as I’ve stated in the listing… These tags also show this vehicle as having been manufactured in March 1953…
So…There is a ton of rust, but not any serious rot… The tires are enormous, and seem to be in O.K. shape, but who knows?
I don’t know much about this type of vehicle mechanically, but when looking at the motor, I don’t believe it has been modified or mucked around with too much, but look carefully at the photos, and you be the judge…
The biggest caveat of the whole show would be, that it’s tucked away in a garage, and if you want it, you’ll have to tow it out… I tried to push it towards the door a bit, but was unable to budge it… So…Heave-ho……..”
(08/18/2012) The body and frame appear in very good shape. The price is a bit high given it doesn’t run at the moment.

Here are two great nightscape pictures by Rob Cord of the jeep sculpture at Borrego Springs. He owns and operates Driven2Perfection. Rob’s grandparents live near Borrego Springs and he has been visiting the area yearly for thirty years. He’s a Willys nut who has this CJ-2A for sale. Thanks for sharing Rob!
Mark forwarded a linke to Carhenge, an outdoor sculpture just outside Alliance, Nebraska. It turns out a Willys Truck was one of the vehicles used to create it. If we have time, we’ll stop by here and check it out on our way back from the East Coast.
