Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (04/28/2014) Doesn’t run. Might not be a bad price if the body is as solid as it appears.
“I purchased this Jeep with the intentions of getting it running. I have too many projects so this one needs to go. The Jeep appears to be complete with the addition of a later model Chrysler alternator. I’ll post under hood photos once the wind stops blowing.”

“Somebody stole my jeep from this location the morning of the 1st. If anybody has any information leading to the finding of it I will give them money. I had this cheap lesson 48 hours with my dream truck. Please help me find it. It’s green with a bulldog on both sides in front of door openings.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000
(01/30/2013) This is a M-38 body on a 1946 CJ-2A frame and possibly drive train.
“Original 4 cylinder engine, runs well. M-38 Military body, Midnight blue 1950s model (not 1940s), no rust, garage-kept. New large tires, new rims. Tow bar and hitch with additional frame support for towing. Full canvas cover, seats in good condition with rear bench seat. New brakes and battery. Four wheel drive. No locking hubs or roll bar. Some spare parts also with sale. Call 224-2five97 to schedule a viewing or make offer, or reply to email with JEEP in subject line. Other email inquiries will be regarded as spam.”

Looks ready to go now or could be restored.
“Perfect for hunting or running around the ranch! 1958 Willys M38A1, MD102078, running, odometer: 33052 mi, has working winch. Much stronger and more durable than the earlier jeeps. Drive Train: The M38A1 used the “Hurricane” F-Head 134 I4 engine, T-90 3 speed transmission, Dana 18 transfer case, either the Dana 25 or the Dana 27 front axle, and Dana 44 rear axle.”
