About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Roberto spotted this blog post about a movie short created early in their careers by Oscar winning Frederico Fellini and Kremos (Niso Ramponi) called “Hello Jeep!”. There are a variety of wonderful images and plenty of information. Nice find Roberto!
“This beautiful 1948 Willys Overland Jeepster drives like a dream machine from yesteryear. She is a three-speed around town show off with overdrive for the highway cruises. Her Arizona heritage has kept her young and, with the incredible showroom paint, she is truly the best car you will ever still consider a driver.
Is she flawless? What girl is? She has two small repairs to her newly treated vinyl ( shown still uncolored – since almost invisible ). One chrome side step has a flake or two in the chrome. Paint on steering wheel logo center faded ( thought better to not restore ). Other than that…
She is all original except the addition of a 12 volt alternator, electric fuel pump (original still attached) and gas tank. Inside, look at the knock out beautiful white interior, drop top, windows and boot. Also, the new stereo. Correct and original chrome inside and out as well as the right steering wheel and badges. Newly rebuilt engine and overhauled brakes plus correct wheels with brand new beauty rings and hubcaps.
There are no surprises with this car. She is not a frame-off concourse competition winner, but instead an incredibly well preserved forever-keeper car with no disappointments. Low reserve compared to market.”
I didn’t know Donald drove jeeps, but here he is driving a flattie.

“Up for sale is my 1954 Willys pickup. Body work was done prior to my purchase of vehicle, I have won 1st place in parades and car shows.
All gauges have been updated, and original are still in the vehicle, fuel gauge does not work, need new in-tank sensor. All electrical has been replaced (all new wires) and it is now a 12V instead of 6V.
The speedo and odometer did not when I purchased vehicle, but has been fixed so not sure of exact milage. I replaced the motor with another origional hurricane 4(THIS MOTOR WAS USED, UNSURE OF MILAGE OF MOTOR OR VEHICLE) .
Emergency break was completly redone. This jeep has lock out hubs, a big +. This jeep has new interior, with the origional interior push button door release.
“For sale is a 1972 jeep cj5. It was purchased new by the canfield fire department in ohio and was used as a brush truck. It has a 304 V8 in it with a 3 speed, runs and drives perfect choke and everything still works fires right up. has like new tires on it with probably less than 200 miles on them. it has a warn 8000lb planetary drive type winch on the front of it which cost 2000 alone and it is still equipped with the light on top the radio the siren, and tank and pump in the back that runs perfect. it is 100% rust free and original minus the paint it was originally yellow the fire department had it painted red when they bought it and it still looks great, still even has windshield washer bag, and a working e-brake also still has the original brakelines too. i have the original service manual for it as well as all the maintnence records, overall a very nicely kept jeep that would make a collector a fine addition. or restore, keep in mind that this was used for brush fires and such therefore it has minor dings and dents mostly just the front fenders it isnt perfect but it is nice for its age. if you need any more details about it just ask so you know 100% what you are bidding on… (odometer shows 4370 miles and i was told this is accurate by the fire department and that is what the title says however the speedo quit on me while on my way to work about a week ago so it will need fixed i even found someone that does it, but you can tell just from driving it that it is extremely tight (even the manual steering that is known to always be sloppy on these jeeps and the transfer case is almost silent when in 4wd so i 100 percent believe the mileage.”
This has the coil springs on the rear along with a rear PTO and T-98 side shift.
