This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is a vintage model that is motorized and needs assembly.
“Up for sale is a Pop up Jeep “Deko” Motorized Model Kit – 1/24 scale made by NITTO in JAPAN. This is a very rare vintage model and is very collectible. Box is open, but is in the original box and is not assembled and looks to include all the parts as well as the Instruction Sheet and the decals.”

This appears to be a solid build.
“1942 Jeep Willys American Classic. This Jeep is a great classic. It is a manual 3 speed transmission with a V4. Military green exterior paint with black interior. Also has original transfer case. Must see this classic!”
Dave spotted this unit. He says the guy has been trying to sell it for a couple years. Dave doesn’t have the seller’s name nor number at the moment, but was able to get some pictures of it.

This appears to have a DJ body.
“Jeep for sale, everyting is factory except for the motor. It has 302 V-8 with a t90 tranny (I think) with the original axles under it that have been re-done (seals replaced, checked the ‘footprint’ of the gears ect…). It needs a new radiator. This is a parts truck or a restoration.”

“1954 Willy’s cj3b, Frame off restoration, 351 Windsor w/Roush heads, Comp cam, MSD electronics, Edelbrock, Stay Cool, Rancho, Fuel Cell, 33’s, 3 speed w/overdrive, locking hubs all around, Two tops w/frame rails and doors, 1000 watt amp w/cd, Rack and Jack…etc……Too much to list……Have receipts for 30k.
This jeep is a great toy, geared low with lots of torque…
If you know Jeeps you can tell whats in this.
I am not in a bind and don’t have to sell.
The wife and I don’t use anymore and I have moved on to other projects.”
UPDATE: The tires and rims have been updated, giving it more of a hot rod look.

2012 was a great year for both me, personally, and for eWillys, too. Obviously, getting married was a pretty big deal as was finishing my book, Finding Virginia. In addition, eWillys reached several milestones in terms of page visitation (600,000 this December and 12 million overall) and posts (now over 20,000).
For 2013, Ann and I have two trips planned, one down to Arizona for the FC Roundup in March and a second trip to the East Coast in May/June for the 2013 Midwest Willys Reunion in May (where I am scheduled to do a presentation) and The Bantam Fesitval in June. More details to follow over the next couple months.
And, for 2014, we hope to do a trip to Europe during the summer to re-trace my grandfather’s trip through europe in 1924 (90th anniversary) and meet a variety of supporters from there who continue to visit daily and add to our knowledge base. That will mean eWillys will need to be even more successful in 2013, which means a lot of work for me!
