Not exactly a ‘combat jeep’, but interesting none-the-less. The serial number looks to be 14093 (not positive about the 3 though).
“rare VEC combat jeep converted after the war by willys for civilian use. ran great last summer has a dead battery might need a starter rebuild. no tub rust except one spot on the passenger step. 3 brand new jeep tires included. ($600 value)”

“For sale: 1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. Needs muffler, and battery. Will install for additional $$$ or take as is. Has new pistons and rings ( 3years ago) . Traveled approximately 50 miles since then. 4 cylinder, 6 volt system. Let’s talk.”
Given the year, maybe body is sitting on a CJ-5 or CJ-3B chassis?
“Jeep Cj3a. Weekend fun. New top and good tires. Replacement steel body without rust. F134 4 cyl and three speed manual trans with two speed transfer case. Wiring all redone with fusebox. Needs fuel tank float. Runs and drives without issues. Painted lusterless olive drab with cool military accessories. Current pa inspection.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4000
The passenger entrance has been lengthened. I wonder if the driver’s side has been too. The body has tool indents on the passenger side as well, but is not a M-38, so it is likely a replacement body.
“Runs good, great for going fishing or for hunting. set up for towing”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure WWII ended for Minnesotans in 1945 too.
“1952 M38 jeep (WWII) no rust! Green with a soft top and 2 sets of wheels runs and drives perfectly. Serious inquiries only. Thx”

“Beautiful 1948 Willys Military Jeep for sale.
Heres the scoop: My father was a Vet and restored Willys. He sold his restored jeeps for $20-$22k.
He started working on this Willy but he passed away suddenly and never completely restored this Jeep.
It is running, has a clean title…You can come by to see it and start it up if you are interested.
Thanks, Michelle”
UPDATE: Was $500. **SOLD**
Runs, but needs work.

Tires are good, all lights ,signals work make a fun toy on the farm…bring trailer ;; have title”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $400.
It’s got a dent, but the “Civil Defense’ on the back is kind of cool. Looks like a Koenig hardtop. The Pueblo Civil Defense Agency was eliminated in the early 1990s.
“**RARE** Hardtop for a 1946 Jeep CJ2A. Still has Pueblo Civil Defense markings on it! This is a VERY RARE find, especially in this condition! Very straight and has only one area where it is dented, otherwise perfect..Still has 2 of the 3 original windows!! Call Joe for a chance to look/discuss. Located in Pueblo. Asking $400.00. Buyer responsible for picking up.”
