UPDATE:**SOLD** Was on eBay.
Gerard has put his beautiful CJ-3A up for sale. He’s done a great job of updating it, while keeping its classic lines.
“OVERVIEW:
Original all steel body and chassis with a modern drive train, suspension, brakes and steering.
Both body and frame were separated before reconditioning and in addition to sandblasting and painting, the frame was reinforced (semi-boxed), making it stronger than original. Most of the popular
modifications have already been made and due to the modern updates, this specialty vehicle can be
inexpensively maintained at any Chevrolet dealership or independent shop.
Unlike most 60 year old Jeeps, this vehicle is a joy to drive daily with modern engine functionality,
automatic transmission, and other updates. It drives perfectly straight with no steering wheel wobble or wonder, and the wider track makes it handle predictably, more like a modern 4×4. The driver and passenger are protected by a padded roll cage and held in place by through the seat 5-point racing harnesses. Jump seat for parcels only.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4900
“Up for sale again, almost decided to keep it but now circumstances have changed. It’s a 1959 Willys with a 192 Perkins Diesel motor(RARE). Motor does smoke and needs a tune up but it does run. Drive train needs work as it will not shift into high range. Has tow bar and tows very well, body in great condition paint is in good shape. Please email with any questions and if you leave a phone number I will get back in touch with you. I’m sorry I can’t leave a phone number, too many scammers. $4900 FIRM”
Might have some parts value.

(11/16/2013) It’s missing the front bow holder, but otherwise looks like a good restoration candidate.
“Very nice, running, mostly original 1946 CJ2A. Primo restoration candidate because you’re starting with such a great Jeep. Runs and drives just fine. Brakes need work. It stops but very hard to lock up the wheels even if you stand on the brake pedal. Been in storage for many, many years, Started a mechanical restoration years ago but never finished. Other than the brakes, needs very little mechanically. Starts right up, everything works and drives just fine. Just need to be careful to allow enough distance in front of you to stop. Panic stops would not go well, everything else great.
Almost no rust at all. Have all the original wheels even though only one of the original ones is installed on it right now. Hard top from M38. Two broken side windows on hard top (vandalized) but windshield on Jeep itself is perfect.
All original except conversion to 12 Volts. Give me a call and come take it for a drive, everything works.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $600
CJ-3A body on a CJ-5 chassis.
“I have a decent body sitting on a later CJ5 rolling frame (maybe a 1968?). I also have a 225 V6 in storage.
I MAY have some paperwork for this to generate a title, but that is not guaranteed so we’ll have to talk and see what I can find.
Email me through craigslist with Willys in the subject, and send your phone number or email for me to contact you.
No scammers, no paypal, no shipping, no escrow so don’t bother trying.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15000
“Up for sale is a very clean 1948 Jeepster 30 y.o. paint.
It just underwent a mechanical restoration locally.
Have receipts. Original 4 cyclinder with overdrive, runs
like a top. Would consider trade for ’57 T-bird or early Bronco
up or down. Fresh AZ title. If it’s not in Sun City West it’s stored
in El Mirage.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $3500.
(11/18/2013) I think the seller means this jeep has been garaged its whole life (rather than it’s been in a garage since 1950). The rear driveline has to be replaced.
“49 Willy’s jeep This is a project that don’t need a lot of work to fix, unless you want a super Bad Ass Willy’s. However it is pretty sick the way it is, It needs the rear end re-welded my son was going to put a four link and coils and move the rear end back 6 inches or so but never got around to finishing it. It has a shortened ford 9 inch with a Detroit locker. Huge paddle tires. Its a small block Chev, one very strong built motor, with fender wall headers, and a 250 shot of NOS it also has what I believe is a Saginaw Chev four speed trans. This thing will fly through the dunes with some work and some cash. It needs a rear drive line. It has a old willy’s four buy four front end in it, that I was going to take out and put a straight axle in it to make it lighter in the front end. There’s a jeep on You Tube that I wanted it to be just like. If you seen it I’m sure that you would want to go the same way. This jeep has 85 percent of what I wanted it to be. With a little of good welding and a little of knowledge on how to fly this thing will fly. The motor is loud and fast you might want to wear ear plugs, if you were to drive it all day. Fiberglass hood. Also there is no rust anywhere on this jeep, I believe its been in a garage since 1950, it has to be the cleanest rust free jeep that is still out there. I just put it out side under a tarp for the first time since my son owned it. He drove it for five minutes before he blew the drive line out of it. It will need a tough ass drive line. Just remember it will need some love and I’m sure for the right guys that want a Bad Ass jeep that this is it. I’m selling it because I have to many projects and not enough cash to do them all. I’m restoring a 79 Z28 and they don’t give them parts away for cheap. So if you have any parts for a 1979 Camero I’m interested. Please Don’t call if your not serious. Thank you”
