1946 CJ-2A Los Angeles, CA $3500

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: Price dropped to $3500

(12/15/2013) Seller does not have a title, but has a replacement title form.

“While driving down a street, we spotted an old dusty willy’s jeep. It belonged to a widow’s husband and was sitting for many years collecting dust near the back of her house. We were told that the jeep was running until he passed and it sat since 2010. It is in good shape for being a 67 year old jeep! It has a 327 with aluminum intake and camel bump heads, automatic transmission, a removable tow bar, a front windshield that smoothly tilts, and locking hubs. There is a rack to hold two Jerry cans. The body and the floors are surprisingly solid and there is only a small amount of rust on the driver’s side, which is an easy repair. There is a removable tow b

We were given a signed DMV Title Replacement form, so one just has to go to AAA or the DMV to get a new title.

Sold as is. Call (310) 309-1294 to make an appointment to see the jeep or if you have any questions.”

Craig’s Pic of the Week: Pepsi Surrey Madness

I had no idea there were this many Pepsi Surreys produced.  I can’t believe someone didn’t get this photo in color. Eighteen of these were sent to Tulsa. I can’t imagine there aren’t a few stragglers still in the area. This photo is from the March 1960 issue of Jeeps News.

Dallas Durham recently visited the Silent Wings Glider Museum in Lubbock, TX, and photographed some of the toy jeeps. After searching the internet, I learned that Silent Wings is the official museum of the National World War II Glider Pilots Association. It looks like an interesting place, so when we go through Texas (maybe after the FC-Roundup), we’ll definitely stop there.

Here are a few links related to Silent Wings.

They have at least one jeep. I’ve seen a photo of the jeep inside the glider and outside, so I can’t guarantee how it is currently presented. Here are photos published on the Jurgen Chronicles of it outside the glider:
