Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “4hp engine. Runs great. Has golf cart subframe the Jeep bodY is of wood. Only thing wrong with it is the chain pops off once in a while. Other then that you can ride it today.”
Listen as a 1946, this looks more like a CJ-3B. However, if you look closely under the midsection of the first photo, it appears the transmission crossmember is slightly visible. I think you only would see that if it were a 2A setup. So, my guess is this is a 3B body on a 2A chassis. Also note that it lacks front frame rails, but there has been some work of some kind on them as well.

“1951 Willys M-38 jeep. It is a veteran of the Marine Corps. Has the aluminum insulated arctic top but no doors. Starts,Runs,Stops. It has a newer style F-head engine and has been converted from 24v to 12v. Has a little rust through on passenger floor board and passenger rear quarter otherwise body is in good shape for its age. “I do not know the year on this, it required a yr so I put this down. I know nothing about this, it has a motor, an extra set of axles as shown in the pictures, what you see is what you get. I am open on reasonable offers as well.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1600. It’s confirmed that this isn’t a Traveler.
Listed as a 1949, the seller believes this to a be a Traveler, but it’s obviously made too early to be that.
