About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
An ad for a 1946 CJ-2A referenced the following article from the July issue of Automobile Magazine. I expect this will fill a variety of CJ-2A sellers with visions of value where there might not be any. They assign a value of $12,500 to $20,000 for a restored CJ-2A and $12,000 to $18,000 for a restored CJ-3A. What they neglect to mention is how difficult it is to find a properly restored 2A or 3A.
“Vintage Tinplate Military Jeep. Measures approx. 3″ long.
Has a clockwork motor (but no key is present!). I tried testing it with one of my keys and the motor does need a bit of a service as it’s not running properly.
Overall in good vintage condition with some light signs of age/play related wear.”

“This jeep is a survivor, it has been garaged for the past 25 years and rarely driven. It is the perfect project for a full restoration, or drive it like it is. This jeep is 95 percent original and is currently registered in California. Shipping in the US only. Rebuilt engine 300 miles ago, new battery, carburetor, new fuel tank, hoses, wire harness, exhaust and muffler. The rear deck has been replaced and welded in. Has rear seat without mount. Rear seat and drivers seat done in canvas. Tires are fair and has spare. Starts and drives well. Two gauges are after market. All lights work except spot not wired. These are rare and would be great for any military collector. Price is firm. Thanks”
“947 Jeep Willys with a snow plow. Runs good, drives good, snow plow works well. Snow plow powered by Chrysler power steering pump. Jeep has new plugs, wires, cap, rotor button, condenser, and points. Jeep also has new fuel pump. Jeep has new 6 volt battery but will not hold a charge. The top on the Jeep was replaced 4 years ago.(some seams are split overall top in fair condition). This Jeep is mechanically solid, I have plowed snow for the last 3 years with this Jeep at my home and for others in the neighborhood. The process to obtain a title has been initiated through the Colorado DMV. The title is clear. For this process to continue in Colorado, all lights have to be operational on the vehicle. The wiring is 60+ years old. In my opinion, it needs a complete new wiring harness. (Complete new wiring harness available at Kaiser Jeep Willys for $314). In addition to the Jeep, I also have 2 brand-new Firestone 6X16 military tread tires and 2 brand-new sets of military-issued tire chains. Snow plow has recently been painted and upgraded to all quick-release pins and all brand-new hydraulic hoses.

(07/24/2012) “1949 Willys Jeep that had a frame off restoration 6 years ago. Driven around 3000 miles since restoration. 28984 miles on odometer. The tub and tailgate and hood are replacement. Body is rust free and nearly perfect. Garaged everyday since restoration. All original save for the body, wheels and two inch lift springs and shocks. I have the original springs to put it back to original stance and painted steel wheels that match the jeep w/ excellent tires although they are not the military all terrain tires that the jeep was originally issued. It is converted to 12 volt and there is a list of new parts too numerous to mention. Starts every time and runs like a dream. The wheels and tires alone are worth $1200.00 and have less than 1500 miles on them
Mark just posted this militarized CJ-2A at Warjeeps.com.
