About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(02/25/2011) The seller notes this can run on either gas or propane.
“4×4 4 Cylinder engine. Runs strong. Runs on propane or unleaded gas. Also comes with front windshield. Please call and ask for Mario 281-788-3097. I will not respond to email but please call if you are interested.”
This looks pretty solid. Comes with extra engine. Transfercase needs work.
“THIS JEEP HAS NEW TIGER STRIPE PAINT, WIRING HARNESS, BEEN CONVERTED TO 12 VOLT SYSTEM, NEW LIGHTS, NEWER TIRES, ALL GAUGES REPLACED, AND THE TUB HAS BEEN BEDLINED. IT STILL NEEDS A LITTLE WORK. THE GUY THAT OWNED IT BEFORE ME SAID THE FLATHEAD WAS BLOWN SO HE DROPPED IN A 4 CYLINDER MOTOR AND PUT IN A HYDRAULIC CLUTCH. THE LINKAGE ON THE CLUTCH BROKE AND AS I WAS GOING TO PUT A FLATHEAD BACK INTO IT, I BOUGHT ALL NEW LIKAGE PARTS BUT FOR THE FLATHEAD. I DO HAVE A FLATHEAD FOR IT BUT HAVE NOT DROPPED IT IN YET. ALSO, THE TRANSFER CASE NEED REPLACING. MY WIFE SAID IT’S TIME TO GET IT OUT OF THE GARAGE SO MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN. FUN LITTLE DRIVING UNIT.L”
(04/24/2011) This looks like a good restoration candidate.
“Nice original 1953 Military Jeep. OD green with Army Stars. $4500.00 firm. Runs and drives strong, title in hand. Or trade for diesel truck. Serious inquire only. Call 619-417-0693. Leave message.”

(02/23/2011) It looks like it has a replacement body.
“This Willys has been completely restored. It can be a daily driver, or a weekend ice cream getter. Improvements too numerous to mention here. EVERYTHING has been rebuilt or replaced. This Willys will not require anything more, but to just be driven. Price includes: roll bar, bikini top, full canopy top, new cover, tow bar for front end, and more. Not a speck of rust! Not a money pit!”
(04/13/2011) “1943 Willys MB and extra parts. Vehicle is complete including the windshield, but body is rough and needs work. The axles are from a 1947 Willys and it has a T-90 transmission and a twin stick transfer case. I drove it all over before I parked it and pulled the motor. Body has been sitting for a year. The L134 Go Devil engine has been completely rebuilt by professional mechanic and ready to install. The block has machined and bored 60 over by Diamond Machine. The internal and rebuild parts all came from Northwest Military Vehicles. With the MB comes another set of axles from a 1943 MB and a T-84 transmission case which I bought seperatly to take the MB back to original. Asking $2500.00 or best offer for all of it. I have just about $2000 in the engine alone. MB is titled in Idaho. E-mail me with any questions. Pics to come and detailed pics on request.”
It was a sunny (finally), but cold day yesterday. So, Colter and I took a quick drive into the hills to smell the coming spring. Here are a couple snapshots.
It’s got a nice rack, a full cage and a variety of updates. It might not be a bad price.

All original and family owned since bought out of WWII. It looks like the front hubs aren’t original. It has an interesting carrier in the back.
“1942 GPW Military Jeep. All Original, Everything Including the Engine, Transmission, Drive Train are all ORGINAL.
This Jeep has been in storage for over twenty years and hasn’t been started for twenty years. But engine turns over, nothing seized.
This Jeep has been in my family since my uncle bought it from the government after he got out of WWII.
This Jeep also has the front tow bar on that is military issue. They would use this to link two two jeeps together to tow a howitzer. I just recently got all the fees paid on this jeep and have current registration and clean title.”
