Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I bought this just for the plow set up and am now re-selling the truck. No title but will give bill of sale. You can get a title for it threw a Antique mag. Engine cranks over, frame is solid, all drive train is there. Body is very rough. Comes with 3 hard doors, top is very good. Will trade for Jeep Cherokee with 4.0, Wrangler, Cj 7, 79 and older Ford 4×4 pick up. PLOW DOES NOT GO WITH IT.”

“I have a 1948 Jeep Willys CJ2A. This would make an easy project rig. It comes w/ a 6 cylinder engine that needs to be installed. Body and running gear are in great condition, It has high back bucket seats, and has had a Nissan heater put in it. This rig needs alot of clean up, as it has been sitting but covered for a couple of years.”

Buck found this cool tribute to the early 6×6 Tuggs on eBay. It’s not wholly original, but it is wholly fun.
“This amazing 6×6 “Super Jeep” was built from scratch using military and civilian parts. This vehicle runs, stops, and drives nicely. The body is in perfect condition. No rust. Fresh paint. Brand new seats. This is is a replica of the 6×6 TUG Super Jeep that the US Army made only 15 prototypes of.
Key Specs/Features:
-Flathead 4 engine
-12V electrical system
-3 speed transmission
-4 or 6 wheel drive
-The rear axle is powered via chain drive pillow block on the middle axle.
-Top speed 45 MPH

Here’s a good price on some fiberglass fenders.
“Posting for a friend. These will need a minor amount of work, nothing major. I do not know exactly what year or model these fit, but appear to be early CJ?. They are 36 1/2″ overall length from the firewall to the front tip of the fender. As you can clearly see in the pics these are molded for a rounded tapered hood and the fender tips roll down in front. So these cannot possibly fit the older flat fender jeeps. I have spent hours looking on the internet to find out more info for actual dimensions. If this ad is up they are available. Please no calls after 10pm. Leave mssg and I will get back to you asap.
