“If you own a RANCH this would be Ride for you”
UPDATE: Still Available
(07/26/2010) This looks in good shape.
“I have a Flat Fender Willys Jeep but registered as a 1966. It has a rebuilt Buick V6 with only about 500-600 miles on the engine. The transmission is a Chevy truck 4-speed with a granny-low and Jeep transfer case. The tires are fairly new with about 250 miles on them…all in the sand at Pismo. The top is in like new condition with no hazing on the plastic “windows” or any tears in the canvas. The front seats are in like new condition, as well. It has been kept in the garage as long as I have had it, about 4 years. The carb. has been rebuilt and the battery is new. Tags are up-to-date and good until June of 2011. I have about $5500 in it, it can be yours for only $4500 or best offer. You will turly love this off-road vehicle. If interested, call 209.823.6063.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $700
(05/27/2010) It runs, but the body is rough. It’s hard to tell how rough from these images. More pics available.
“We were told it was a 1952 CJ3A when we bought it, but I have yet to verify this. I have more pictures of it. The body is in very very bad shape, but the engine, transmission and frame are all very solid as far as we can tell. It was used for transporting tools and parts around our land (about 250 acres) as well as just having some fun riding around. Looking for $1800 or best offer, but it is really hard to determine if that is asking too much based on what I am reading on line…..”
This looks pretty good for the price.

From Butler Tourism’s website, “Bantam Jeep Year-Long 70th Birthday Celebration Kicks Off Summer 2010: Jeep enthusiasts, automotive and military history buffs and thousands of visitors will make their way to Butler County to celebrate the Bantam Jeep’s 70th birthday throughout 2010 and 2011. Butler is the birthplace of the Jeep. The Bantam Jeep was developed and produced in 1941 by Butler’s American Bantam Car Company in response to the U.S. Army’s request for an all-purpose military vehicle. Nearly 3,000 Jeeps were produced at Bantam’s Butler factory.
To celebrate the Jeep’s 70th birthday, a year-long celebration will begin June 2010 and culminate with the first Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival August 12-14, 2011. The festival will feature off-roading opportunities, historical displays, a Jeep parade/cruise and other events. ”
I sent an email today to the office of Tourism and was surprised to see a response within a couple hours, which included an offer to keep us updated on the festival progress along with this attached pdf brochure.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
“I have an old Willy’s I need to get rid of. Its been stored inside for at least 30 years. I aquired it several years ago, never found the time to do anything with it, and trying to make more room. It has a very rare Worman Jee-Cab hardtop on it as well. Was told it ran when it was parked, but I have never tried anything with it. If interested, please reply though craigslist, as my email goes directly to my phone.”
