Here’s a DJ-3A body on (probably) a CJ-2A frame and running gear.

“Up for sale a 1948 CJ2A Willys Jeep, 3 spd trans, 2 spd case, lock out front hubs, with new brake cylinders on all 4 wheels. Excellent tires with new spare mounted on swing away tire carrier. Has reciever hitch and tow bar shown in pictures. Shocks recently changed and all spring shackle bolts have grease fittings. Has roll bar and bucket seats in front with bench seat in rear. Motor was built by Hansen Machine shop in Salt Lake City around 3 years ago, with aproximately 500 miles since. Has fold down windshield with perfect glass. Color is tourquoise green, do not know when painted, but in great condition. W/wiper  motors not working, everything else works fine. Odometer shows 7803 miles, not certified but from condition of unit could be original. According to previous owner of 15 years he only drove it a total of 1500 miles, has service manual but no top or doors. I suspect the sides are a bit rusty, but it sure looks like a pretty stock CJ-3A.

The body looks rough, but the gearing running gear sound like a good combination.

“Buick v6,newer eldelbrock 4 barrel carb,sm420 four speed,Dana 18 transx,4.27 gears, Both are open. Has bfg 33in tires on it. Power steering and power brakes. Soft top and doors.all gauges work.electric fan. Nice hunting jeep or good starter wheeler. Runs good. 3500 obo.”

What’s strange about this ad is that there are no pictures of the jeep’s topside.  Four are of the underside and one is of the front bumper area.

There are plenty of parts here.

“I have two old Willys pickups. Cleaning up the property and these need gone. I would really like to see these go to someone who would use them or parts off them instead of scraping them. The first one is complete though has plenty of rust. Flat head 4 cyl. did run and drive a few years ago. Second one is frame, running hear, bed and cab and is in alot better shape. Hood and fenders are in the bed. Also have a box full of misc. small parts. Hurry or I’m taking them to scrap in two weeks. Both trucks are on tires. The roller has nice mud tires.”
