About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This has a single shifting transfer case. I’d climbing under this to check and see if they put a Dana 20 and, if so, is the driveshaft angling back to a passenger side pumpkin. Also, no title.
“1946 Willys. No Title. Tub has been rhino lined inside and out. Has 225 Buick V6 motor. Heddman headers. Has power steering. Heater. New gauges, 2 gas tanks, Best top brand soft top. Super Swamper tires. In good shape. 435-545-2111 house or 435-401-0088 cell. Thanks”
The front frame rails have been customized. The drain holes are missing. It’s listed as a CJ-5.
“This is a great deal. New Tires, New paint, rack on the back, great for wheeling, New soft top and New seats. This whillys is in great condition. call if you have any questions. This is a must see! Motor is rewired to 12v.”
This has a rebuilt drive train. At least some of the floor boards have been patched, as well as the steps and drain hole areas.
“This is a 1948 CJ2A all original Willys, except for tires, wheels and seats. I have the original frames for the front seats but will have to be reupholstered. Engine, transmission, transfer case, and rear end rebuilt late last winter. Power steering was also added at that time. All gauges work except speedometer. Jeeps runs and drives excellent. Clear Idaho title..”
(05/23/2012) “1950 Willys 1950 4×4 Jeep …. Lost interest….Trade value of $1500 for quad, pontoon trailer, or other old car or rat rod project. $1,000 cash otherwise. It has been under a tarp for the last 3 years, (has not been started).
Will trade for another car project, no lap tops or snowmobiles please.
The auction for this has expired, however this is still an interesting vehicle that made the cover of the 1976 Four Wheeler Magazine. Looks like it is part jeep and part truck.
“An American classic! This old Wyllis has been been sitting in a hay-barn in the Texas hill country for the last 25 years. It was inherited and there is no title. The engine is locked down, but can probably be worked loose with some WD40 and t.l.c. A couple of goats got on top once upon a time and dented the top and the tires are flat, but the axles roll free. The electrical system was also converted over to 12 volt. Please email me or call 830-868-two-seven-four-five between 6 and 8pm central standard time if you’ve got any questions. Shipping will be the buyers responsibility, if that’s the route you go. My zip is 78636. A deposit of $500 is due within 72 hours of winning bid via Paypal.”
This isn’t perfectly original, but looks like a solid little jeep.
“This is a restored authentic 1953 m38a1 willys 1/4 ton jeep. This model has a L head go devil engine that s running strong with an electronic ignition by pertronix. Transmission is. T-90 with the original Dana/ spicer d44 rear and d25 front axles. Most of the military bolt ons have been re-located an installed with original parts r new old stock. This isn’t perfect, it’s 1953, and it’s $5k. Perfect is $8-15k. Have all new bolt on engine parts. Frame was sealed when body was off with kbs coating frame paint. No rust on frame and all rust has been stopped, removed and repainted. Rocker panels and floor solid and floor was nearly all replaced. Has cj3a gas tank under seat which is clean and hooked up. Converted to 12 volt by p.o. And all lights and blinkers function making this a solid vehicle that can be registered. Waiting for the title to come back from SOS and will have any time now. Have an original 1953 Michigan plate that goes with it($30 value). Tire has tread but are checked and I havent gotten to replacing them. Driveable. I ought a new 7 x 15 spare which is closer to original size. Has cj5 15″ rims.
The hood numbers and unit markings are the original usmc badges I found as I sanded down the body.
I get a lot of heads turning when I take it out. It’s an awesome feeling having a jeep that no one around does. My neighbor has a 2012 rubicon $40k jeep and is jealous. It’s history and old=cool
I love this thing. I really wanted a cj2a but this project called my name. Willing to entertain cj2a, cj3a, cj3b trades plus cash or straight up if in good condition.”
