About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

A few days ago, the intrepid Team Qualls reached the western destination: Ventura, California. This pic celebrates that achievement:
Wasting no time, they turned north along Highway 1, a magnificent coastal drive I’ve had the pleasure of making several times, but never in a topless jeep!
It appears Randy and Carson kept driving north until they crossed over the Golden Gate Bridge. There, they discovered first hand the thick summer fog that often inundates the central coast, turning the weather from warm to near-frigid and the views from beautiful to a grayish-soupy-fog (where I lived in Aptos, California, from 2003-2006, the afternoon fog arrival was a near daily summer event).
Eventually, the pair turned east towards Yosemite National Park. Here are a few pics:
“1948 willys jeep. Complete running jeep. Completely new wiring. All original. Seats need reupholstering and the paint is faded. Runs and drives well. 3 speed transmission. Rust under the passenger seat where the compartment is. Jeep is located in kelseyville Ca. In VERY good shape for its age. Price is obo.”
“Cj3b Starts up just fine. mileage unknown., upgrade with new dual master brake cylinder with front wheel rotors. Floor is good no apparent rust. Upper body some rust. Clean title. I just used it to move utility trailers around my storage area. Original engine. Special storage box. No text messages please.”
The jeep appears solid, though the drain holes have been filled, so the body should be checked for filler. This has an f-head and custom hood. There are additional mods.
“Bought off Bring a Trailer for $11k over a year ago and was told it was in perfect shape, guess what and no surprise, that good old boy from Virginia lied through his teeth!!!
Anyways, I’ve had several Jeeps and this one has one of the nicest rust-free bodies, as well as complete and original gauges, E-Brake Handle, Seats, Motor and Trans. The engine has been completely rebuilt by a top shelf mechanic that works on my entire collection of rare and High cars such as Porsches, Mercedes, and muscle cars. I bought this as a beach cruiser, around, town summer fun car… Continue reading →
