Mitch spotted this jeep and asked my opinion. I said that someone lazily painted everything red — the frame, the hmbs, the bolts, and more — which usually suggests that someone was simply trying to cover what is there (rust, dirt, etc). I also suspect that underneath the diamond plating in the back are holes or rust or something. It looks like there is some denting on the driver rear quarter panel, but that could be an optical illusion.”
Here’s another one Mitch spotted. The paint is faded and their is some rust along the real tailgate. I’m surprised to see a pintle on the back of this also.

This appears in good condition. I think this might have been the text from an eBay ad, because it has a ‘buy it now’ reference. I think the third party appraiser has been partying too much given the appraised value of $11,000. The seller will do better if they paint it OD green and put some military tires on it. Those metal (as opposed to aluminum cast) slots in that good of shape are hard to find.

A show and award winning full frame off restoration of this Willys Jeep proves it to be one of the nicest restorations around today. OVER $16K INVESTED in the frame off, nut and bolt, restoration. Heavy documents and receipts included.
With the original F Head 4 cylinder motor that has less than 2,000 miles on it, this Jeep has seen very little road time. Car has never seen rain and has only been driven around town. Jeep likes like showroom new.
The interior and floor pan are in excellent condition, matching the dash and gauges the truck reflects the countless man hours installed to get it to the condition that it is today.

This looks restorable.

It runs great and drives all 4×4 works. All new complete brake system, many New parts from NOS and new.
Good clear title
Converted to 12v
New lights and turn signals installed.
Needs a muffler
Brand New old stock gas tank and filter
New seat bottom cushions and many other new parts.
Frame is solid but needs a little body work. Very solid military jeep. Still has original bullet hole in original windshield.
Aux power port cup was welded over. I removed played and have the cup in process of installing the cup.L”

I’m guess the compressor itself doesn’t work? This looks similar, yet different from the Hesse Hornet Compressor.

(05/06/2012) “I have a 1945 Jeep MB for sale. It has everything right with it and it has everything wrong with it. By that I mean that most components show wear, but they are all there in the original form. Most are the original to the Jeep. The engine, frame, body, and trans #’s match and most other components are the original that came with the vehicle, even the horn. Its got a little rust in the common areas, but the body is the one that came from the factory. Of course there are replacement parts but they are high quality reproductions. The tires are virtually new NDT (~100 miles) and the wheels are split rims. The jeep is not “modified” or “modernized”. It is a good example of an original vehicle, perfect for someone who wants to just drive it or totally restore it.
If you are interested, I can send some photos. Price $ 9000.+ depending on response to ad.

Jeep is painted camo with heavy duty commercial signage paint. Top swivel seats in back. Eight total gun holders on this jeep. Brand new military tires. Two top KC lights in cage on roll bar and 2 reverse KC lights with separate switches on roll bar. Four seats are recovered in camo. Has custom game carrier for rear hitch, and fold down permanent front game carrier. Engine has new electric fuel pump, new alternator, new headlights, new fuel regulator, new battery, new belts, rebuilt carb, cleaned and sealed radiator, engine runs strong and 4×4 can get you anywhere you need to go.
