About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
The seller claims this is the only one of these, but I’ve seen 3 or 4 of them. Nonetheless, it is custom.

“For sale: 1946 Willys column shift jeep. Runs and stops, just needs finishing. Comes with working rear PTO.
This was going to be a long term project for me, but circumstances have changed and now I am forced to sell. This particular jeep is rare due to the column shift and the fact that is still have the rear mounted PTO.
Most everything works but the emergency brake needs to be adjusted and the dash light needs to be hooked up. I removed the car seats that were in it and have found some original CJ2A seat frames for it. It does have some old turn signals on it but they do not work, nor do they need to to have it inspected..
The green jeep shown in the pics is NOT for sale.
Please, no scammers or tire kickers, I know what this jeep is worth, and know what I am asking for it is fair. A very rare jeep that will make a very good project for someone.

The seller incorrectly labels the 1953 as a CJ-3B rather than a CJ-3A.
“i have two willys jeeps, both 4 cylinders
the 55 cj3-b has the better hurricane motor, has matching title and runs and drives but needs the brakes refreshed. it was used 4 years ago as a small plow jeep for a driveway. all the plow stuff is removed. has full enclosed cab with doors, body is okay but all there, some floor rott under the seat on driver side like all of them. its not the prettyest thing but its all there and like i said, runs and drives really good. motor is super smooth and does not leak a drop of oil. already 12 volt converted.
the 2 top pics, i have more pics available
the 53 willys has a really good body but some floor rott under the seat on driver side like all of them, good seat frames and a really solid windshield frame (which is rare) the glass is cracked but they always do that due to the flex in the WS frame. has original tags on the dash, new tires, “aftermarket” front and rear bumpers, otherwise mostly original
no title so its a “parts only” sale on this one. motor does not leak, i have not tried to get it running yet, motor turns over just like it should tho. would be awesome resto or rat rod project
ready to sell either one for $2000 or best or $3000 for both. can deliver if not to far from kenosha.
text or call 262-945-8187 anytime
would trade for 50’s chevy ford or gmc truck only,
absolutely NO CARS AT ALL. 50’s trucks only. no 60’s maybe 40’s.”
It runs and drives and, best of all, is a chick magnet (so says the seller)! To the seller’s credit, he does not recommend driving this on the open road in its current condition, so you will have to find your chicks in the woods (I guess). the seller lists this as a CJ-2A, but the body suggest it is a M-38.
“i’ve got a 1947 cj2a willys, titled, and currently registered and insured with the state of nc thanks to our state’s lack of a safety inspection! The body had rust holes in it but the floor boards are pretty good.
The frame has rusted, broken, and been “repaired” by joe dirt, and has since broken again on both sides towards the front.
The engine smokes and it was having overheating issues… could be as easy as the radiator, could be as bad as a headgasket or cracked head… no clue…
Transmission grinds a lot and pops out of 2nd gear. Transfer case is a CHAMP! works great. Brakes work good most of the time but could use some work, just like everything else on the jeep.
Steering is as loose as the hooker you can find most nights at castle and front st. yikes! wheels and tires are good. but the windshield is broken….
lights work. it has a sweet oooooooga horn. and it has seat frames! toss some pizza boxes on them and you’re good to go!
oh, and ALL the gauges were replaced with new ones last summer. fuel sending unit is not currently installed, but gauge is. speedometer cable came loose last week when i was driving it…. just as it clicked past 500 miles which is all i’ve driven it since i bought it a year ago and put it together. spent about $500 on gauges and switches.
all wiring is new with all new switches. far from perfect, but very functional and fused. battery is 1 year old. gm 12v alternator is 1 year old. electronic distributor is 1 year old. screw points, i’m not smart enough to adjust them.
starter was rebuilt by alternator specialist about 6 months ago. i’m assuming it has a warranty? not sure but that cost me about $275 as it was originally a 6v starter and is now 12v
this thing has been a blast for the last year. i bought it with the plans to make it road worthy and reliable and after seeing how much work it needed i decided i’d drive it until i broke it. well, it’s about to break if it doesn’t get some tlc so it’s time to sell it! buy her, fix her up, and turn a nice profit or fix it up enough to drive it to the bar and make all your friends jealous…
entire thing is spray painted sweeeet od green…. and i mean the entire thing…. wheels, shocks, tub, frame, brakes, wires, engine, everything that the paint would stick to
Asking $1500 for it, as is. i’ve got the title sitting in front of me, ready to go! i’ll drive it to your house if you don’t live too far from my place in ogden….. or you can trailer it home. i would not suggest driving this on the open road as it sits right now. she takes a little getting used to ;)”
