1943 GPW Estacada, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB) • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500

It runs and drives, but not road legal.

“For Sale
1943 Ford GPW Military Jeep (Willys)
$3500 OBO
During WWII when Willys could not make Jeeps fast enough, Ford stepped in and produced 278,000 Jeeps to help in the war effort. This is one of those Jeeps. It is almost identical to the Willys MB but its small differences make it kind of fun to own.
All the running gear is correct for this vehicle. It starts and runs and it’s fun to drive. The transmission, 4 Wheel drive, High/Low range work fine. The brakes feel good.
o New Firestone NDT tires
o New combat wheels
o The frame is in nice shape
o The tub is very, very rough
o New hood
o New battery and one wire alternator
o New front bumper with wood block insert
o Clean Oregon title
Included in sale
o Original hood
o Two service manuals
o One extra original combat rim
o Extra “F marked” transfer case of unknown condition
o Misc. extra parts
o New temp gauge
This is a 68 year old rig that is need of a total restoration. It drives and stops but is not legal to drive on the public roads. Please plan for a way to transport it home.”

1942 GPW Mt. Shasta, Ca $2400

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB) This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This currently has a motorcycle tank in place of the standard tank.

“1942 Civilianized WWII Ford Jeep
Running, driving and stopping but is not road worthy without lots of TLC. GPW running gear. Not sure about the tub, has been diamond plated all around and has, I believe, a CJ2A windshield frame. Nice low back seats (possibly from a Mustang). Has a full soft top with doors, and a roll bar. No back seat. BF Goodrich tires with lots of tread and very light weather checking on chrome spoke wheels. Three speed manual transmission. Go devil four cylinder engine which runs good but won’t idle. Jeep needs a gas tank, but is currently running with a Yamaha motorcycle tank mounted on the front bumper (THIS IS TEMPORARY). Has new air cleaner, electronic fuel pump, and pressure regulator. Needs a battery. This could be a nice Jeep as is, but also could be restored back to military as it is still on GPW running gear (Ford) (the front and back of the frame was modified at some point). There is a wench mounted on the front which looks to be PTO driven and electric (not sure as I haven’t hooked it up electrically to see if it would run, but looks like it has a PTO input). As you can see by the pictures, this is a pretty clean and very cool Jeep. It wouldn’t take a lot to put it on the road. $2400 OBO”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.

“1949 Willys Wagon – 4WD
The 4WD is rare. 1949 was the first year that Willys introduced the 4WD to the Wagon.
The Wagon is in good running condition and is great for shows and Sunday driving.
A paint job would help improve the look of the Wagon.
The car comes with an overdrive (that is not installed) and some spares.
The car is a rare piece of history! This is care created the lineage that now boasts the various Jeep Cherokees.”

1953 M-38A1 Roswell, GA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: M-38A1 • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $1400

(04/15/2011) What is that on the hood?

“1953 Willys military Jeep. My father-in-law had this surplus Jeep turned into a hunting Jeep complete with a marine plywood dog box. It always ran great, but unfortunately I never started it up after he gave it to me eight years ago. It was stored outside for much of that time, but is now stored inside.

This is a historical model. The M-38A1 was the military equivalent to the civilian CJ-3. 1953 was the first year of the M-38A1. The CJ-3 didn’t come out until the following year. Definitely a collectors item for Willys Jeep fans.”
