About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“1947 Willy Jeep with Toyota Motor, 4 cyclinder, 4 wheel drive and 5 speed. Wear and tear on upholstery and crack on windshield. Asking $3800 OBO, call me at (760) 550-4654 or (760) 550-2095 for more information”
(06/29/2010) The seller suggest the engine needs rebuilding.
“This Jeep was stored in a barn for 30 years and has a great body plus a Pa. title. 11″ Bendix brakes and a Hurricane F-4 engine are from a CJ5. I’ve never tried to start the engine because I intended to adapt a GM V-6 during the restoration. Now, I need the garage space and don’t have time to work on the 3A, so it needs a new home. Asking $2500 412-335-0972”
Hard to say what the value is here. What are the streaks on the hood?
“i’m selling my ’42 Willys MB. please see pictures. i have too many projects to do this jeep justice.
I do NOT have a title for this jeep. what you get is what you see: a frame that is in great condition, two good axles and a nice grill. the body has LOTS of rust. the finders and hood are all repairable.”
“Basically all original, but not running. No title.
In my opinion, the frame, transmission, transfer case and running gear are usable for someone wanting a project. Original 4-cyl motor turns over by hand. It was running and I drove it around many years ago. I completely disassembled it in preparation for a rebuild, but lost interest and moved on to other projects. I still have ALL the parts. Instruments, latches and detail pieces were stored indoors. Hood, grill, window frame and tailgate are solid with surface rust. Seat frames are in great shape.
Email me if you want more pics. I think it’s a great foundation for a Willys project.”
(04/11/2011) This looks in good shape, though it does need some work.
“1960 Jeep FC170 Forward Control from California and only in New England a couple of years, kept indoors, 6 cylinder, 3 speed transmission, 4×4, solid cab and frame, 12 volt, electric over hydraulic dumping stake bed, newer windshield, back window broken but in tact. This is a running, driving project and needs electrical work (lights, horn, gauge) and minor mechanical work (parking brake, tune up). Runs, drives, and goes fine down the road (top speed about 40 mph). Email call or text Michelle 207-321-1148 or Eric 207-650-7900. If this ad is still up, the vehicle is still available; I will delete the ad as soon as it is sold. Thanks for your interest!”
(07/19/2010) “I have a 1951 jeep willys project that I am looking to sell or trade. the willys has a odddfire buick v6 in it that runs good, I bought a brand new rebuilt narrowtrack dana 30 front axle with a spartin locker and regeared to 5.38, I started the yjspring over on the front already but just tacked up, have the rear springs too just haven’t started on that yet, have a lot of extra parts. Have the windshield and everything just took it off so it didnt get broken when working on it. The only trades I will consider are a 250 2 stroke 03 or newerer or maybe a 450f. as far as brands im pretty open to them all rm cr yz kx or ktm or $3000.”
(02/18/2011) No pics provided. It might not be a bad price.
