About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“48 Jeep Overland project.283, 4wd, red/white Mostly original. Vehicle has been garage kept and have not gotten back to finish it. Still in fairly good condition. Need bodywork finished and whatever mechanical would now be needed. Great for restoration. Considering offers. Don’t currently have photos. Garage is very narrow. Ad is being run for a friend. Call # if possible. 412 335-7572”
“1946 CJ2-A Willys Jeep… runs good, has original engine and ALL parts; I put an aftermarket carb on it and a reproduction fuel pump – however I have BOTH of the original pieces that can be re-worked and I’m sure they would work (I cleaned them both but just couldn’t get it to run with them).
New suspension all around, original military spec rims and good rubber. Have a new shop manual as well – plus lots of odds and ends parts. I have an extra fly wheel, extra front differential with hubs, extra steering wheel and neck assembly. I need to move to a smaller work shop and have to get rid of the project… come and get it!!”
(03/29/2010) The top in particular looks really nice.
“This Jeep had an off the frame complete restoration done. It has the original 4-cyclinder engine, new transmission, and a rebuilt transfer case. Also, has new brakes, hoses, springs arched, radiator, and carburetor. The original lights and horn are 12-volt. The Jeep does have lock-out hubs. Jeep is winter green with black interior seats. Jeep has the original working heater and metal Koenig top with doors. Jeep has approximately 300 miles on it since restoration. This Jeep is in excellent original condition with new tires and is ready to go”

“I have for sale a 1945 willys jeep built by ford. It doesn’t need much to get running. It has a new 450 horsepower 388 cubic inch chevy engine. The engine is pump gas friendly with edelbrock rpm heads and a comp 282 hydraulic roller camshaft. Tranny is a short tail shaftturbo 350 and has a tci reverse manual valvebody and 3500 stall converter. The tranny needs new clutches. Rearend is an old dana 44 with 4.30 gears and is welded. Front end is a mail jeep 2 wheel drive straight axle that shaved 130 lbs off the front from the old dana 30. The jeep body is a little rough on the sides but has been heavily modified everywhere else and was nicely done has gm pedals and tilt and telescoping steering wheel. Tires are 16.50×15 paddles on new 15×12 wheels. It has a clear title and new tags as I drove it a little last summer. I am willing to part this jeep as well. Engine should make about 450 horsepower and 450 torque and is daily driveable.
Runs great. Has 60lbs of oil pressure.
Ill sell the engine alone for —————————————————————————————————-$2000 which is half what it costed me.
Transmission is a th350 short tailshaft with
TCI reverse manual valvebody
new j.w. 3500 stall converter
hurst shifter
tranny needs rebuilt.—————————————–350 bucks for all of it.
Paddles are 16.50×15 in fair condition with new tubes and newer 15×12 wheels with 5on5.5 pattern———$300
The Jeep i will sell for 2800 firm complete or just the rolling chassis w/out the paddles for ——————-$850
Also the jeep has a dana 44 with 4.30 gears and welded diff. Front is a postal jeep straight axle
2wd. To get running needs a carb, and tranny rebuild and a front wheel cylinder. I will drive with a carb on it.”
