About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(02/25/2010) “I have a 1943 Willys Jeep and a 1946 Willys jeep for parts to go with it. Good title on the 1943 jeep. The ’43 runs but has a 1954 engine in it. Most parts you would need to make it right are on the ’46. $2000 firm.”
(07/16/2010) Pretty unusual. Something unusual has been done with the grille as well. The tines appear to shape outwords.
“1950 Jeep with Mattracks Has a remanufactured 350 Chevy V8 with New carb and intake, headers, All running gear is from an 1984 Jeep with 40,000 miles . Has power steering , brakes, and 4 speed .”
“this 46 willy is very rough but has a lot of good parts.Last time running was about a year and half ago but ran very good, only reason not used is that father inlaw parked it because ether the transmission or rear end froze up.Will not take no less for it so don’t ask.Call me at 334-685-1741 for any more info.”
Lots of original, but not all original. The steps have been altered and there appears to have been some body work on the passenger side.

This might be a good price. It looks like the driver’s side is rusty or banged up.
“great shape all glass is good running motor with parts if you dont have the cash dont bother to call 585-23 thirty three price is very firm will trade for 4×4 toyota pickup running or not.phone calls only thanks. serious calls only!”
“For your consideration a 1952 Willys M38a1 military jeep. Serial # 17543, dod. 9/52, making it an early example with the thumbscrew battery box lid, hinged front grill, rare original slanted seam front fenders, and the narrow early bumper undamaged.
Runs great, with no smoke or knocks. The engine is totally original with the 24 volt system and all waterproof accessories (distributor, carb, generator, regulator). Transmission and transfer case shift smoothly and quietly. Brakes are inoperative due to bad master cylinder.
Was a municipal vehicle used for off road search and rescue (seldom) It was well maintained and not abused, spent most of its time in storage. Has the original seats, cushions, rear seat, and 50’s dated tires. (pass seat not shown but included) Body has very minimal rust, surface rust mostly in a few spots, and a couple small dings. Frame and springs are excellent. Has all original dashboard and data plates. Windshield frame is very good shape also.
Would make an excellent easy restoration candidate, as it has not been modified in civilian hands. Never had a snowplow mounted. Never had locking hubs installed. Never been registered on the road. Has one of the best original condition body’s that I have seen”
This is another sounds-to-good-to-be-true, but I’ll post it anyway. Besides, that looks like they used the picture of a toy jeep.
“1940’s willys army jeep… Motor not to far from running…no paper-work great lil restoration project MUST SELL ASAP. REPLY BY EMAIL FOR MORE INFO!!! PIC BELOW IS JUST SO CAN SEE WHAT TYPE OF JEEP IT IS…”
“I have to sell my beloved cj3a. It is in amazing shape for as old as it is. Gets TONS of attention and is tottally streetable.
1951 Cj3a; chevy 4.3 tbi engine; Frame boxed in for strength; Dana 44 front and rear axles with 5.38 gears, rear spool front detroit locker, rear axle converted to disc brake. Muncie 4 speed tranny with granny low 1st, mated to a dana 18 t case. t- case is built with dana 20 internals for stronger intermediate shaft. It also has a advanved adapters over drive so it cuts each gear in half, essentially giving you 16 forward and 4 reverse gears.
Body is in excellent shape with no cancer or rust. Full roll cage, newer 36in super swampers. Suspension is spring over axle, using wrangler springs. front shackle reversal. it flexes AMAZING with tons of droop. This truck runs awesome. I need the money, and have too many vehicles. i dont have time to wheel it anymore. It drives around town fine and does about 70 on the highway no problem. I hate to see it go. I am asking 6500 obo so feel free to shoot me an offer. I may consider cash and trade for fire arms. please call or text as i do not check email much. Chris 505-449-8693.”
