UPDATE: Was $4500. **SOLD**
Here’s a cool truck.
“Original engine, wooden flat bed, nice; runs and drives good.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
the seller lists this as a M-38, but as J.R. points out, it looks more like a CJ-3A.
It runs and drives.
“ORIGINAL 1952 M38 MILITARY JEEP WITH ORIGINAL 4 CYLINDER WILLYS JEEP ENGINE THAT RUNS AND DOES NOT SMOKE. BODY ON THIS JEEP IS BADLY RUSTED AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT OR YOU CAN REMOVE THE BODY AND MAKE A HELL OF A “MUDDER” OR HUNTING VEHICLE OR JUST USE IT AS-IS WITHOUT DOING A THING TO IT. THIS IS A ROUGH JEEP AS SHOWN BY THE PICTURES BUT IT STILL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO MAKE A GREAT RIDE. $1500 OBO. ”
I’m assuming both run, drive and stop based on the “all-in-good-working-order” comment.
“1948 green Jeep CJ2, engine, transmission, running gear, frame, all in good working order. 1949 yellow Jeep CJ3, engine, transmission, running gear, frame, all in good working order. Engine needs valve job. Both Jeeps would be great for a frame-up restoration. $3000.00 for both.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
This sports Studebaker rear end. I’d like to see some side pics of this one.
“This truck just oozes with cool factor but the condition is rough and I just don’t have the time to stay up with all my projects. I inherited it a while ago and have only driven it a couple times. The previous owner installed a Studebaker bed and a Ford flathead V8 engine in it. It ran and drove the last time I had it out a few years ago. 4WD works but the brakes were pretty soft. With a little work it would be perfect as a hunting truck or something to keep up at the cabin. I guess it could be a foundation for a sweet rock crawler project as well. I would consider trades for quality tools or firearms and asking price is negotiable. I am not sure on the year because it is missing the title but I can provide any signed paperwork required to get a replacement.”
This seller listed this for sale back in 2008 for $5k.

(08/03/2010) I’ve seen more wood slatted hoods in Montana then anywhere else! This appears in good shape.
“New Met Bronze paint, black vinyl seats & back seat. Roll bar, 1/2 top. Rebuilt original 4 cyl.; New brakes. Mickey Thompson 31×10.50-15’s. Trail tested, ready to roll. ”
Status Unknown. Was $1400.
“Anyone have interst in a 1947 CJ2A (serial #129382) with Jeep-a-Trench option. Unit is complete but chains are all locked up due to rust. Pictured is the well pulling attachment on the front of the jeep. That has been removed and is not included in the sale. The rest of the jeep is mostly complete including the following options: pto controler, shaft, rear gear box, 90 degree gear box (minus the drum), top bows, ag weight, and governor (minus the governor handle). The engine is siezed but has no noticable cracks. Jeep does not have a title. The body is ruff but not a complete basket case. Jeep rolls easily but the steering column is frozen. The wheels still turn side to side by hand so loading on trailer will not be a problem.”
This looks like a good price.
“47 jeep willys truck, 305 small block in it, TH400 tranny, 4:11 gears. Engine runs good, will need some TLC but overall shes pretty solid. Hate to get rid of her, but, need to thin out the herd. ”
Probably a simple fix regarding the alternator issue.
“This jeep runs and drives great but not holding charge, i think that it may need a new battery also needs new brake lines. I have new top and doors for the jeep, and lots more. CALL MIKE AT 1757-695-0383.”
