UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
(11/30/09) “Nice ’54 Willys Jeep for sale or trade for a Wrangler that is in good, reliable running condition and that will pass inspection. Beautiful Willys waiting to be restored. Awesome project. No other like this with the hard top, plow and wench. 12V with heat! Secret compartment included, too. Hate to part with her, but situations have changed and I won’t be able to give her the TLC she needs, like floor pans and brakes.”
A couple weeks ago some of the folks from the PNW4WDA put on another barrel racing show in the Tacoma Dome. There’s only room for two barrels, rather than three, but it still looks like fun. Here’s a few videos from the event.
Lew dropped me a note today telling me about this jeep he’d like to sell.
Lew writes, “I have a CJ2A 1946 Willy that I would like to sell. It is in perfect condition and 100% original including original paint, tires etc… no rust, nor rot and basically has been in a time capsule. I acquired it when I purchased a farm a few years back and it was maintained in a barn. It has a PTO and PTO Governor (no driveshaft). It has original canvas but no framework. The asking price is US5k or best offer. My contact number is 845.590.0927 and email address is bylandseaorair63@yahoo.com.”

Is this electric?

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1400
This might make a great resto project.
“Asking 1400 for a great project car. 1958 Willeys Jeep Wagoneer. Minor rust and a couple small dents. I have extra front end parts, and bumpers. Mtor and Trans work, 2 wheel drive.I don’t have the time and space to keep it. ”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3400.
“1948 Willys Cj2a pinto motor c-4 auto trans wrangler leaf springs 31″ cooper mudders 95% tread good soft top nice high back seats. power lock in the front end.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
(12/31/09) I’m guessing this is most likely a CJ-3A.
“It runs and starts. Obviuosly needs to be restored. 4×4 works. Title and original VIN tag that states 1942.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3750.
(12/4/09) This looks in decent shape.
“
This is a great deer lease jeep! The M-151 is the military jeep that replaced the Willys jeep for a utility vehicle. It is a shift on the fly 4-wheel drive with full independent suspension. Has the original canvas top. $3750 obo”
These images of maneuvers out of Fort Riley, Kansas, are some of the most calvary-like jeep pics I think I’ve seen. I suppose the older army cavalry hats contribute to that, too. These are all shot by photographer Jack Delano and hosted at the Library of Congress.
I seem to have the wrong LOC links, so I’ll have to grab them tomorrow and add them.
