This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Pete, from the Willys-Overland Jeepster Club, emailed me a comment regarding Jeepsters the other day, teaching me something I didn’t know about Jeepsters (No Factory made 4wd models from ’48 – ’51). He had a link to his website, so I checked it out.

This CJ-5 looks nicely stock and appears in good shape.

It needs a starter (according to the seller), but is otherwise good (well, at least that is implied). The price seems right.

This looks well maintained. The top has at least one sizeable hole in the back.

UPDATE: I think the price is now $3500 if I read the Ad correctly.
(11/12/08) Here’s a sand/mud rig. Safe to say it’s been modified.
“Built 350, turbo 350 tranny 205 trans-x, 9″ rear spooled toyota front both with 4.56 gears, boggers rear irock on front. asking $5000.00 may trade for cherokee (my kids like to wheel this is too much rig for them)this thing is built to play with and thats how i used it.”
