Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Around $4500 spent (all receipts included) – New brake system – cylinders and pipework, exhaust, radiator, gas tank, seats, brake and speedo cables, NDT tires, black powder coated rims. Engine fully rebuilt at proffessional engine shop. Everything done to original 1950 Willys Jeep spec and repro parts used. Needs bodywork, gauges and electical harness installed to complete….”

“IT DOES NOT HAVE POWER STEERING, BUT IT IS MANAGEABLE EVEN LOADED WITH GUYS AND GEAR. I HAVE USED A LOT OF HI RACK JEEPS AND THIS IS THE BEST ONE I HAVE OPERATED. IT IS JUST BUILT RIGHT. IT IS COMFORTABLE AND THE PERFECT SIZE. THE TOP HOLDS 2 BIG GUYS, FOUR GUNS AND EXTRA STORAGE. THE QUAIL RACK HOLDS 2 GUYS AND 2 GUNS. THERE IS A BASKET IN THE MIDDLE FOR SHELLS OR A COOLER. THE TITLE IS NOT TRANSFERRED INTO MY NAME,IT IS THE ORIGINAL 78 TITLE, BUT HAS BEEN SIGNED BY PREVIOUS SELLER. I DID NOT BOTHER TRANSFERRING INTO MY NAME BECAUSE I HAD NO INTEREST IN PUTTING IT ON THE ROAD. IT WOULD TAKE SOME TIME TO GET THE TITLE STRAIT. TWO BILLS OF SALES WILL BE INCLUDED. THE SPEEDO DOSENT WORK ALONG WITH SOME GAUGES. THIS JEEP HAS NOT BEEN TAGGED SINCE 1990. I HAVE DRIVEN IT ON THE ROAD IN WEST TEXAS, AND IT HANDLES VERY WELL. IF I LEFT SOMETHING OUT BE SURE TO ASK.”

There’s little I find interesting, except those headlight bezels. Those look like 5 1/2 bezels in reasonable condition. NOT easy to find!

Here’s a great looking CJ-3B.
“1956 Willy’s CJ3B it has a 231 Buick V 6 Motor with a 3 Speed manual transmission Body is in very Nice shape It has 31 X 11.50 X 15 LT Goodyear Wrangler Tires are like Brand New Mounted on Eagle Alloy wheels Seats are by ARP and have Racing type Seat Belts in it Has all New Gauges Has New CD player in dash Wiring has been redone at some point. You could not build this Jeep for what Reserved price is . This Willy’s turns heads every time its driven . New Speedometer but need to check cable and drive gear. See if working or not.
