About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“This is a REBUILT 1946 Willys CJ2 per the title. I have clear title.
This is part of an estate sale, and not my own personal vehicle. I was told that it needs a starter, but it does run outside of that. I am only repeating what I’ve been told by the family. The mileage has not been verified. The Jeep is a cream/tan in color. There is not hard top or soft top and it has been sitting outside exposed to the elements with no cover. I cannot make any statements to how the Jeep or its components runs or operates.
It is your responsibility that either you or your mechanic inspect the vehicle to verify the specifics you are seeking out of this vehicle.
It is located at the estate property in Washoe Valley, NV and can be seen by appointment only. Please message Brandy with multiple times you are available to meet. Upon confirmation of the land owner’s availability, then I will confirm with you a meeting time/date.”
“This Jeep is in very good condition, runs perfectly. New springs, new brakes, new tie rod ends, rebuilt steering box, new tires. Shifts smoothly. Ready for paint.”
“Here we have an awesome Jeep FC170 4 wheel drive truck. FC = forward control, like a cab over or COE. The 170 designation is for 170 inch wheel base. Someone started making a tilt/dump bed on the back which you can see in the picture. Realizing I have too many projects, a few of them need to go. Awesome looking little trucks. This is a project, and it does have rust. Come see it for yourself. No engine or transmission. I purchased the truck exactly as you see it. Feel free to ask for more pictures or specific pictures. Open to offers and trades, what do you have?? Text is best, if you call and I don’t answer, text or email me and I’ll get back to you. No voicemails and bad cell service!
Camper shells not included.”
“WW II Portable Engine Driven Generator manual. WIllys jeep engine. This one book contains the Operations manual, maintenance manual and parts list. 64 pages total. size is 9″ x 6″. My favorite part is the price list, oil pump were listed for $5.50 for replacement cost while the entire engine block was $49.00! LOL You need this book for your MB/GPW or WWII manual collection.”
Bill shared this Hemmings article that discusses the use of an iPhone as a scanner for car 3D parts. I know that for several years there have been some Willys wagon knobs and other items 3D printed and available for purchase.
But, to take that from a hobbyist endeavor to a commercial scale, with mechanics or parts resellers producing parts with 3D printers in-house is an intriguing idea. Practical? Certainly not now for multiple reasons, but it’s not a stretch to believe that car parts for vintage vehicles will only become more difficult to find. So, I’m hoping that some magnitudinal advances can occur in this arena.
