UPDATE:  The price has dropped to $5000. This has been for sale since Aug.

This seller has installed a variety of new parts on this CJ-3B (and I think lists every single one in the ad).  Looks like the body’s in decent shape.  I’m thinking the seller was attempting to restore it, but now needs to sell it.

1947 CJ-2A Skiatook, Ok $10,600 **Sold**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

1948_cj2a_skiatookWhile updating the ebay results page, I ran across the following jeep.  It’s a CJ-2A made up to look like a MB/GPW.  On ebay, it sold for a winning bid of $10,600.  I’m a bit shocked it sold for that much.

“1948 WILLYS CJ2A JEEP, SN/CJ2A 181994, refurbished to look like a WWII MB military jeep (don’t get me wrong, it is NOT a WWII military jeep) only made to look like one. It would be great for parades or WWII re-enactments. It does have a working military style fender blackout light, military style grill blackout marker lights, MB style spare tire rack, WWII style fuel can with holder, bumperettes, MB style side and corner handles, WWII style tandem hand wipers, military style foot starter, new front OD canvas seats with WWII style seat back pockets, stars, USA lettering and 5 new 6 ply WWII style NDT tires (non-directional tread, pulls just as good in reverse as in forward)….”

1947 CJ-2A Boaz, Al eBay

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A, Last Ride • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This might be one of my favorite all-time body pictures.  Can you imagine what it took to damage the cowl and dashboard? The seller suggests you might need to get the body replaced, but I’m thinking the body is the best part.

“Serial number 109850. This jeep was built around 1947.  willys built around 240,000 of these jeep from 1945 until 1949.  the serial number of this jeep (109850) shows that it was built around 1947 according to production figures from the willys jeep homepage on the net. The jeep is complete, it runs very well and drives well also. the jeeps body is very rusty , with lots of damage. i would say that the body would need to be replaced;however, the engine, transmission, drivetrain is in good , operating condition. this jeep is in original conditon with all oringinal componets.”

1952 M-38 Millbrae, Ca eBay

• CATEGORIES: M-38 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

1952_m38_millbraeThe overdrive will get you down the freeway and the 5:38 gears + the winch will get you through the trails.  Nice.

“I’ve had this jeep for about 17 years. In 1996 I decided to bring it back to its military look with some extras. I had the motor and trans. rebuilt and the t case inspected and resealed. The motor is not original,it has a 1964 buick 225 v6. The rest of the drive train is original military issue as far as I know with the addition of a Warn overdrive and a Lockrite locker in the rear dana 44 with 538 gears. The overdrive gives an extra gear in all 3 spds and is great for highway speeds and allows you to keep up with traffic at 65+mph.”

1943_mb_monarchUPDATE:  **SOLD** Was on eBay

“This Jeep was probably here in Southern California on a military base since new.  I had the body taken down to the bare metal before having it repainted in the original olive drab, the body was solid with almost no rust.  It was painted from top to bottom as you can see in the pictures.  The black California license plates that were assigned to it in the 1960’s are still registered to it, I have both plates.  It has new canvas seats from Beachwood Canvas, the radiator was recored and the brakes were recently serviced. “

A beautiful FC-150 sells for $38,000 at Russo-Steel

Yeah, you read that right.  Craig from the FC-Connection site kindly dropped me a note saying that none other than Tim ‘the tool man’ Allen purchased this beautiful FC-150 for $38,000.  It probably didn’t hurt that the FC was auctioned at the Russo-Steele Auction, the televised auction you might have seen on ESPN2 while flipping through cable channels.

Here’s some images from the FC-Connection site.  And, a link to the Russo-Steel auction page for this FC-150.

1947 Frankenstinian Monster – Manchester, Ct **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-2A, Unusual • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

1947_cj2athingUPDATE:  This sold for $698

An eWillys reader somehow found this in the ‘other makes’ section of ebay Motors.  It made me laugh, so I have posted this for your Sunday amusement.  Even though the starting bid is only $99, there are no bids.

“… The complete, unaltered 4WD drivetrain from that 1947 Willys Jeep: engine, tranny, transfer case, front & rear drive, suspension, steering, cooling system, etc. was installed on a homemade (C channel) frame. Most of the body, tilt bed & plow were also homemade. I must say, while “strange”, (owner is a carpenter), everthing is “well built”….. “

1959 FC-150 & 1959 CJ-5 Phoenix, Az $1500 each

• CATEGORIES: CJ5, FC150-FC170-M677 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

1959_cj5_phoenixThe CJ-5 comes with a warn overdrive, a ford-top loader, a ford 289, a full cage and a set of hurricane aluminum 10″ rims.  $1500 isn’t a bad price for that combo + the rest of the parts.

The FC-150 looks pretty good as well for $1500, if it comes with some of the missing parts.

“One 1959 Willys CJ5 with Ford 289 and Ford top loader four speed, Warn overdrive, starts and runs good, original 5:38 gears and nine inch brakes, 1959_fc150_phoenixwill include parts for changing to 11 inch brakes. $1500.00 cash O.B.O.
