Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This ad made me laugh, because the seller claims this “body has not rust”. Now, the hat channels may in fact be in great condition and maybe it’s just my eyes, but isn’t there rust on this body?

Need some cheap 12″ x 15″ rims? Here’s two of them along with two 10″ x 15″ rims.
“I have 4 of these 15″ wheels. These fit the old style DANA 44 axles. They are for some big mud tires. Two measure 10″ wide for the front and two measute 12″ wide for the back they have deep offsets. I was driving through Caldwell the other day and the dealer was just parking this jeep as I sped by the lot. So, I couldn’t resist turning into the lot to take some pics. Of course, after walking up to the jeep, it took only a couple seconds for a sales guy to come over and offer his help. He tried making a couple points about the jeep, which I gently pointed out were incorrect. I then provided him with some information about the year of the jeep and how it differed from a military version. He got quiet after that. Though I didn’t tell him, I would say it’s way over priced. I wouldn’t pay more than $1500 for it as, for starters, the front of the frame at the point of the grille on both sides has been welded, re-welded, and cross welded. Here’s some pics.

Not to make fun of the paint job, but I really thought something was creating shadows over the jeep. Then, I looked at an interior pic and saw it had a strange camo paint job. I thought, ‘wait, that’s not on the outside of the jeep’. But, I was wrong, it is indeed some type of camo on the outside.
“1950 Willys Needs Title 4X4. Priced to sell at $2500 or best offer. I’ve had this for over a year… received it in a trade. New 327 engine. 205 Trasfer case. Dana 44. I am a professional mechanic owning my own shop for 15 years, and I can tell you this jeep is nice. Please no trades. Here’s a unique paint job. That front sure is a bit higher than the back.

This CJ-2A has been highly modified. It sounds like a pretty good jeeping jeep.
