Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Willys Jeep CJ2A with custom made truck bed and hydraulic pump for plow. It’s a restoration project and appears to be all original. Jeep is complete with drivetrain. It doesn’t run and didn’t when I purchased in 2008 from people in Crystola. I bought it to restore but didn’t get around to it.”

“A rare 1957 Willys CJ6, less than 1700 were built in 1957. Units is complete but has rust issues in the front floorboards, under seat tool box and quarters. The frame appears to be solid. It has a 4 cylinder motor, it is likely a Hurricane F head.

“I have a 1949 CJ3A Jeep for sale. It runs and drives, has a blue bonded title. I got the parts to start the brakes, but haven’t installed them yet. It’s not a rust bucket and would be fine on a ranch as-is, but it needs work. It would be a fun project for someone who has the room and the mechanical ability for a do it yourself project. “Wow this is cool – what kind of Jeep is this exactly? From Europe? South America? Is this Korean war era? Falkland Islands? Northern Ireland? These are the kinds of questions I get which is a lot of fun. If you don’t like attention, this is not the Jeep for you.
It started out as a retired postal Jeep (DJ5). I’ve since extensively modified it to be of roughly the same dimensions as the rare Willys CJ6. Frame stretched 18” with lots of hand fabricated body modifications, roll bars, etc. Custom safari top (the only top), new seats & seatbelts, Bluetooth stereo. I tossed the tired 4-banger and swapped in a stout Ford 302 & C4 automatic. Engine has 351 heads, 4bbl, new electronic distributor, water pump, radiator, exhaust manifolds, battery, etc. etc. Fairly aggressive cam, sounds great. Way more motor than this light truck needs, but it is fun.

“Up for sale is a wonderful old vintage 1950’s era Garton Pedal Jeep. This was restored about 2 years ago and is in very nice shape. This is the Army version. Garton also made an Air Force version. Pedal Jeep is in great working order. It measures approx. 40 in. long x 16 1/2 in. wide x 15 in. tall. (not including the windshield frame). Overall, just a super cool and very rare Pedal Jeep”
