About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Listing my fully restored 1943 Willys MB. Purchased back in 2014 and performed a 100% restoration. Original running gear, but does have a new body on it. I’ve only driven 1100 since the restoration. Everything is 100% correct for the vehicle, I can give the interested party a complete run down on what has been done and an idea of the money invested into it. I do not need to sell it, but for the right price I will let it go to a new home. It’s currently in storage for the winter in a heated garage but is fully accessible should someone want to come purchase it. Please message me with your contact information and I will call and or text a reply. I will not be accepting off the cuff offers, and I’m not currently looking for any trades. In response to recent messages, this not a $10000 vehicle, I have over $27k invested and that is what I’m looking to get for it.”
(11/12/2020) This jeep has undergone some modifications. The body has been cut in places and patched in others. Perhaps the most unusual aspect of this jeep is the hood (aftermarket?), which is mounted at an angle with the back up high, presumably to fit the Chevy 350.
I am selling a very nice 1946 Jeep Willys-Overland CJ-2A, twin stick 4×4, manual, 3 speed. It has had a frame-off restoration. No rust on the cab. VERY STURDY, no rusted through portions. Nice, thick paint. The paint is pretty good overall, but has scratches and imperfections. The has been swapped for a Chevy 350 with true dual exhaust with cherry bombs (Sounds good, not obnoxiously loud). It starts easily, runs great, has tons of power, and drives well both offroad and street. The transmission was pulled from a CJ-2A 6 cylinder, and the remaining drive train and axles are all original to the vehicle. The passenger seat flips up. The windshield folds down. The lights work. “Frame off restoration of this unique 1947 Willys World War II era classic. @ 95% original. Hurricane engine runs great. A definite show stopper and unique piece of history; it’s time for your chapter.”
“1964 fc170 jeep pickup. This is actually one of 64 ever made in a 2 door for the military. It’s a worthwhile project, no title. Everything needs attention but these models are extremely rare! No I don’t know if it runs. No I’m not interested in trades. Since it’s a military truck the sheet metal issues never bothered me because some easy riveted military style doubler plate repairs would just add character! I’ll clean it up this weekend and put it on ebay for the whole country to fight over so this week is your chance to get it before that happens! I hope to keep it if possible so no low balling! I haven’t tried to turn it over, I was planning on swapping in a newer v8. It has some old v8 in it, might be an international. I’ll get more pics tonight. I have equipment to help load it on your trailer.”
There are two different project jeep designs described in the December 1945 issue of Popular Science, pages 162-166. The simpler one was designed by Herbert Pfister of New York City, while the second was designed by H. A. Machlan of El Campo, Texas.
