Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I have several Willys pickups for sale and a nice project CJ2A. Also a nice 68 International 3/4 ton pickup, a 73 IHC 4 x 4 with only 72,000 miles and a 98 Dodge pickup I’ve had for a couple years, nice pickup, be a great ranch truck, hunting truck, etc.

An early 50’s complete pickup, missing the tailgate, has the 4 cylinder F head, very cool dual spotlights, etc. It’s a project but a worthy one.
Early 50’s Willys project, cab and chassis, on rubber, no box or back fenders, engine is complete and should run, no radiator, missing a few other parts but a good project or parts pickup. $750
Early 50’s Pickup cab, probably the nicest one you’ve ever seen, solid floors, good doors, good glass, far easier and cheaper to replace your battered and banged up old cab with this one for $500

“This is a very nice Jeep. It has all that is in pics. I removed the top, windshield, and doors. I drove it today. 4wd works great. Very little rust on front left fender and top.
really nice jeep. I love it. I just want something bigger like a chevy full-size 4×4. I had the transmission converted from column to floor.”

Paul identified this as the top made for the M-38, which W-O called the “Cab-Closure Hardtop“. Looks in great shape.

This looks to be a Sears Deluxe Aluminum Full Top (#4 in the catalogue), based on the CJ-3B page.

“We have a nice survivor CJ-2A Willy’s Jeep. The 4 cylinder has been replaced with a Buick V6 at some point it its life. The transmission is a stock T-90 3 speed. There is a Koenig PTO winch, tow bar and also a Koenig hard top with full doors. The body is in rather good shape for being as old as it is. Seats are not factory, Tires are good, great tread. This little Willy’s can be ready for hunting season if you hurry.”

The seller said that this has coil springs between the leaf springs and frame. There is some bondo and rust. The tub is resting on some lumber that’s wedged between the frame and tub. It has sat since the 1980s. The engine might be a GPW/MB. It runs and shifts ok, but needs new brakes, master and tires at the very least.
“Original Jeep Willys CJ2A with all original parts. 6 volt system, all glass is good. Motor was replaced in 1974 and was military surplus remanufactured engine. Less then 5000 miles on the engine. Last plated in 1987. Been garage stored with plans to restore until just last week. Great candidate for restoration. Drove from storage to current location. Starts right up. Needs brakes, tires, gas tank repaired and a battery. Will need to be trailered to new home. ”
