This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/02/2015) Has a rear PTO and a plow. Has a rare Beck model 200 hardtop.

“1963 cj6 with “Fireball” v6, Three speed manual. Runs and drives perfect. 4×4 works flawless. Has a heater, radio, rear back lights, 4500 pound winch, folding tow bar for easy transport. There is no rust in floor. The floor has been repaired with new metal. Frame has no rust. Very solid Jeep for its age. New master cylinder, brake lines, and brake pads all the way around. Hard top with doors is removable. Title in hand. Will trade for ? Text ”

UPDATE: Mystery solved. I found a couple brochures about this top. They were published in a 1947ish Willys Overland Equipment Book (thanks to Jon for letting me scan that particular folder). The suicide doors were original to this top. Examples of The Boston Top below:

This rare Blue Star top is missing it’s rear lift door.

(09/17/2015) This includes a rare Porter Read hardtop.
“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A. L-head four cylinder. Body in good shape, not perfect. Intake/exhaust manifold is off the engine. Well worth the effort needed to get it going. 12 volt conversion is started, the expensive parts are there. Spare engine block and manifold available for an additional $100.
Also have a rare, vintage Porter and Reed aluminum top for the jeep, includes the doors. Needs some minor repair. $500. Jeep buyer gets the first crack at the top. ”
