Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Looks like it has a Porter & Reed hardtop.
“I have a 1947 willys jeep. In pretty good condition for a 47. New oil change new oil and air filter new spark plugs new battery new gasket for oil pan and new headlights and front marker lights plenty more. Starts on first turn of the key and drives and shifts very nice. Hard top and doors are in good condition as well.”

Check out the partial railroad rail used as a rear weight.
“1958 willys jeep cj5 with hard doors and top, twin stick transfer case and 3 speed manual transmission. Its pretty much original, 4 cyl engine that starts and runs well.
It does need work obviously, brakes require a couple pumps when you first start it up, feel fine after that. The lights need hooked up as well.
This was bought purely for the plow which works well i have a loooooong driveway and we see a lot of snow, ive never driven it off my land.
Im moving south, no more snow for me. Otherwise it wouldnt be for sale.”

Cool Air Police jeep. What an interesting hardtop, too.
“1942 Ford GPW(Military Jeep) Ready for restoration. Very little rust. Its been in a barn most of its life. All parts original except headlights. Engine turns and should fire up. Ford script is visible on most parts. Has a large PTO driven winch. 16″ rims. Willing to trade for small tractor with loader, atv or utv. We have a title.”
